Wyndham Championship pre-tournament favorites
The current betting favorites to win the Wyndham Championship are Hideki Matsuyama and Webb Simpson, both of which sit at +1,400.
Matsuyama has generally struggled since winning the 2021 Masters, finishing outside the Top-20 in five straight PGA events, although he is coming off a T4 result at the Olympics.
Simpson has also been up-and-down in limited action, posting a T12 at the Masters, T9 at the RBC Heritage, and most recently a T19 at The Open Championship — but he also missed the cut in his two prior events and has played just three events since the end of May.
It's not a major, so he may not be in contention come Sunday, but Louis Oosthuizen (+1,600) is third on the betting board and completes the list of players at better than 20/1 odds. The No. 8-ranked player in the World has posted a Top-10 finish in six of his last eight events and was on his way to another strong finish... before a final-round 74 last weekend at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational left him with "only" a T17 result.
Rounding out the Top 5 are Will Zalatoris and Patrick Reed, both of whom are sitting at +2,200.

How to bet on PGA Tour odds
The most popular way to bet on golf is by simply picking the winner, which is also referred to as outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, however. Some of the more popular markets include head-to-head betting, where sportsbooks pair up two golfers and you simply choose who you think will have the lower score over the course of the weekend or for one round only.
There are also 3-way betting markets (choose the best golfer among three choices) and group betting (choose the best golfer amongst a group of players).
Other ways to wager include Top-5/Top-10/Top-20 finish, top golfer by nationality, to make the cut/to not make the cut, and the leader after each round. Then, of course, there's the popular prop bet of whether or not there will be a hole-in-one at the tournament.
