But wouldn't that be the day that the winner is scheduled to play their second round match? That would be absurd mismanagement if true.

Actually the OOP for tomorrow just dropped. It's scheduled tomorrow as the second match on court 3, after the Tommy Paul match.

Siniakova has moved back up to +160 on the ML. Perhaps that is a result of a full day of public action coming in on the much higher ranked and well-known player in Zheng. It will be interesting to see if that holds or if it gets bet back down again overnight.
Has anyone heard any comments regarding surface speed today?
I am expecting it to be a fair bit slower than Queen's Club, which is typically one of the fastest surfaces on the ATP tour. Zheng's wins over Kessler and Raducanu at Queens make it her most successful grass venue. So I wonder if the speed aided Zheng there being that it was the fastest grass court the ladies have played at in 50+ years.
The speed would help Zheng offensively with her big serve and power game but on the flip side she is typically way more effective on slower surfaces because it gives her more time for her huge swing. So it would make sense that she eventually fell to Anisimova who has the power to hit through her. The wins against Kessler and Raducanu don't seem as impressive to me as much now either. Kessler was very inexperienced on grass at the time (before she won Nottingham) and it's pretty clear that Raducanu is not at the top of her game during this grass swing (Carlitos was also pushed to 5 sets today....hmmm).
The more I think about it the more I think that Katerina will win. Maybe even straight sets.
Thoughts @Calde13 ?? I'm guessing you're already on the moneyline.

I am like the biggest Siniakova fan alive - but I find her matches very hard to predict prematch - so I almost never bet them - I think she is a player that is way easier to predict when watching her live - but she is actually a pretty good grass player and I would definitely agree with you here that prematch the value is on her - and I am more a high gamble bettor - so I actually very rarely go the game handicap route - I very often go underdog ML if I bet prematch (but honestly most of my bets are live) - I almost hit odds +9.000 today - as I had Alcaraz to lose to Fognini prematch :( (but I did hit Medvedev losing)
I haven’t researched it or hear commentators commentating on it - but my clear assumption after watching the games today is that courts are slower than queens

I have some work tomorrow I have to do - so I have primarily chosen to focus on Swiatek and Navarros matches tomorrow - I think those two could represent a lot of value live - I don’t think those two matches is as uneven as the market wants it to be - considering they are playing 1st round on grass in Wimbledon (so I actually was glad when my sources said Siniakova was Wednesday - on my selfish behalf :) )

Regarding your question about Eala earlier, I am not betting that match but if I was I'd take Eala. Hopefully she'll bounce back from that heartbreaker Saturday.
I've followed all of her grass season matches and watched quite a few, starting with her first match when she lost to Fruhvirtova. If I'm not mistaken I think that was her first main draw tour level match on grass. She ended up playing a total of 14 matches on grass and even though a few were challenger level that has to be more matches than anyone else.
She wasn't all that great at first but what was impressive is that she continued to get better and better as the month went on. She went a little quite after Miami and through the clay season but she's firmly back on my radar if she again advances.
The reason I'm not ready to pull the trigger yet though is the mystery that is Barb. If this was the round 1 matchup last year, and imagine that Eala had her breakout year identical to this year except it was last year, we would be talking about taking Eala and it would almost certainly have been a loser with the way Barb played.
But Barb has been terrible this year, I get that. But she came out and played a few grass warmups.... Loses to Sram, grinds out a couple wins, then withdraws from the tournament. Maybe she was too hurt to continue. Maybe. But to me it was a typical Barb move. She got enough time on court to find some sort of rhythm and then she was done. Mission accomplished.
I personally came to the conclusion late last year that she was showing up at some tournaments to play a match and showing up at some tournaments to win matches. And I don't blame her because it's the only plausible strategy for her career. Her body simply can't grind day in day out so she picks her spots. Last year I think she needed to finish top 20 in the race to the finals to get the auto bid and she squeaked in at like 19. Now here she is defending a title and she could come close to dropping out of the top 100 if she loses tomorrow.
All the signs point to Eala winning and I hope she does. Unbelievable stage for her getting to open the he day on Centre Court against the defending champion. I just need to see how Barb comes out.

7/2
Katerina Siniakova ML (-110) **
Marketa Vondrousova -2.5 (-135)
** = Top play
I really love Siniakova again today. May have 1 or 2 more plays in a bit.
