@monkeebooger
I'm not sure any sane person would back Townsend. Not only is she struggling for form in singles but she is also even bowing out of tournaments early on the doubles side. Gracheva is a streaky player who has looked pretty sharp when I've watched her lately. Won 7 of last 9 matches with only losses to Sakkari and Pegula. Great start to the year for the french pancake so the line movement doesn't surprise me at all.
As I dig further into my notes I see that this match is BEING PLAYED ON US SOIL. Her home/away splits have defied logic for nearly 3 years now and I have to continue to ride until something changes. Obviously you already know this though.
Updated Taylor Townsend record since start of 2024:
Overall: 46-37 (55%)
North America: 38-16 (70%)
Overseas: 8-21 (28%)

Gracheva dropped out. New player different situation. He is looking at the spread instead but should wait for confirmation.

Let's quit waiting around, we know our next move. She has been playing like crap lately, but she is going back where she knows how to win, defending champ. It is risky due to her poor form, but the value is just too good to resist. ![]()

MERIDA
Emiliana Arango (+239)
Arango hasn't won a set of tennis since October and the majority of last season was underwhelming. But the lone exception was when she played in Mexico with the Columbian fans present to back her. She won the 125 in Cancun and followed that up with improbable finals in both Merida and Guadalajara. Big time pressure on her to defend points but banking on her to pull through.

Prime time special. Renata Zarazua ML -140 Tossed a bread crumb on the veteran. Varvara Lepchenko ML +320
Our solid run ends. Multiple medical timeouts and she still prevails, meaning our luck appears to have changed; therefore, that is a wrap for me. Lord B will take it from here.

@bringit
I was rather surprised myself at the result of this one I played it without seeing that you posted it as a play (McNally)and I played the minus 2.5 games I guess I didn't look into the fact of the Revenge Factor after getting beat down time and time again
