Clara Tauson to win WTA Luxenburg

Adding now Clara Tauson to win French Open 2022. Clay is her favourite surface and today you get the 67 in odds. I will place a small bet and forget about it, I doubt it will be this high next year.

Clara is back in action this week!

She hasn't played since she won Luxembourg a month ago.

7/1, I think this is a really good price on her for this 250 event in Tenerife, Spain.

This is a new WTA tournament, so it's the first year, and they put all the money to get Svitolina, the rest of the field is not very exciting, a lot of players are out of form. Not many players with more wins than losses in their last 5-10 matches

I don't think Svitolina cares too much about this 250 event, she has already been paid to be the poster girl so they can get sponsors.

Clara can play Svitolina already in the second round, if she wins that, she is going to be a heavy favourite to win it, If she goes all the way to the final, we should get a good price to hedge. 

Jurak, Klepac should win the double in Spain easy as well.

One down, four matches to go 

Stong finish from Clara, down 5-2 in the 3rd set tiebreak but manage to win 8-6. I always think it's a good thing when they have to fight for it early in the tournament, she will be extra ready next game, and I'm sure she and her coach will change some things for the next round.

The same thing in Luxenburg, Clara's most challenging match came early, in the second round, when she also won a 3rd set tiebreak against Alexandrova. 

2nd seed Zidansek and 6th seed Zhang are already out

Svitolina is out already, 6 out of 8 seeds are out in the first round...Only Giorgi and Tauson left as seeded players 

Have any Champions league plays as well? 

Chelsea - Malmo Under 3,5

Chealse will rest a lot of players and already thinking of this weekends game. Malmo has no chance to reach the top 3 but still has a chance to win the Swedish league. So I think it will be a very slow match, Chealse might start strong but if they go up 1-0 or 2-0 this game will be very slow.

I just have a feeling that she will cover this one. She is a good player, I remember on Clay earlier this year when Kovinic beat everybody. On hard, she hasn't been that good, but it last chance to end the season on a positive note.

Giorgi hasn't played her best either since she won Monteral.  

Giorgi will probably win, but Kovinic will cover.

Clara is 3,5 Favourite now and Maria Camila is at 51 the least favourite of all.

That seems to be a bit off, they can play each other in the last round and Maria won the only meeting between them.

Growing pains with the youngster...the pains and heartache of not getting over that key hump in a tournament draw...

Clara did let us down last week, now she the favourite this week instead. 4/1

I'm playing her, just because it would be so typical to bet her to win last week, just for her to win the next week.

Also, Konvtaveit is playing the best tennis of her life and she has a chance to get into the top 8 and reach the finals if she finishes strong. A win this week would take her above Jabeur into 9th place.

What a professional effort and win by Clara today...Samsonova was serving lights out and the Dane managed to find a way to get thru this test...she's got Wozniacki's forehead type DNA and pedigree. 

What a week can do! Last week was very shaky.
