here is the situation , he was stopped driving way above the speed limit , all he had to do was to comply and follow the orders  , 10 m later he would have been on the way to the stadium.

idk how traffic stops are handled in Canada , in the USA it is advised to comply , be cooperative and polite , and you will be fine
