Haven't been on the forum consistently and not as much as I would like with the soccer matches but some tasty games today, a few of which the lineups won't make much difference on. I'm trying to scale back how many plays I like with the Liverpool/Ipswich game being the one I think I like least, ironically enough. Just can't really make sense of Liverpool's inconsistency and it seems not to be at the managerial level. Here is what I am backing so far:
BTTS YES LYON/AUXERRE (-140)...BIG PLAY!!!: Funny enough, Auxerre seems to be able to notch goals on the road and Lyon, for as good as they are at home, don't make it easy and have given up a goal in 5 of their last 6 games played in Lyon. I can't see them losing as they have won 4 out of the past 5 H2H's played at home but have allowed Auxerre to net in EIGHT straight games played on this ground! Auxerre have scored in 7 straight road games so I'm fairly confident they can find the back of the net.
COMO TT OVER 1.5 (-127)...BIG PLAY!!!: Genoa has NOT been good, neither last season nor to begin this season. They have lost 4 out of their last 5 home games and now an undefeated and very solid Como side come in trying to make history of their own as they try to remain unbeaten in their first three matches of a Serie A campaign for only the fifth time in their history. Add to that Como scored 2+ goals in ten of their last 16 away competitive games and I really like this spot with some low coin to pain for a very likely outcome.
COMO FH (+120): Adding to this game as Como scored seven of their last ten league goals in the first half while only four of Genoa’s last 16 league games saw both teams score. If that holds, this is a good spot to take a chance on Como continuing to come out strong under Cesc Fabregas and get this over the finish line.
OVER 3.5 PSG/MONACO (-120): What a week for Monaco?! Flo Balogun is addicted to controversy and now finds himself in a real doghouse. NO need to fret though, Monaco have been scoring without him and considering they were the only team to beat PSG twice last season certainly won't be fearful here. But I do think that PSG just have too much talent on their side even if they are starting off lacking the chemistry they have had at the end of last season. Loads of changes on the squad means sometimes it takes a few games but playing at the Parc des Princes should be very conducive to them bucking that trend and with only three of PSG’s last 17 Ligue 1 games producing under 2.5 total goals I like how this lines up.
BTTS YES STUTTGART/COLOGNE (-215) & BTTS YES BETIS/REAL MADRID (-205) = +117...BIG PLAY!!!: Unless Cologne doesn't score, which would be surprising consideringCologne’s last 11 Bundesliga matches have seen both sides score, I don't see this not getting over the finish line. On top of that, Madrid conceded exactly once in each of their last four Friday-held La Liga fixtures, so that should get this over the hump barring some huge dud by RM (I see that game potentially as a draw). Which brings me to my best play...

Looking under the hood, Real Betis haven’t lost a home league game on a Friday since August 2018 (W8, D5) and haven’t lost any of the last four H2Hs they hosted (W1, D3). I know how great Real Madrid is, but you realize teams don't win every game and getting a goal and a half with these historical stats I just laid out seems an extremely solid spot for Real Betis to at least grab a point. They are also unbeaten in home league games since early December (W7, D5), winning each of their last four, though this will clearly be their toughest test yet.
I am not going to post a play on the English Premier League until later, if at all. Ipswich is clearly inferior but as we know, the EPL gets funny when teams suit up on Fridays. Ipswich haven't lost in their last TWENTY home matches (W14, D6) so that too is a really tough stat to overcome in order to back Liverpool.
Lots of big plays but I don't always have a short card with as much interest. Games kick off at 10am PST so be aware. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...
