Week One is in the bag. We have 35 players / $3500 in the 25th Annual and 9 players / $4500 in the winner take all high roller. Welcome back and good luck this year. The prize schedule for the 25th Annual is as follows:

18 Weekly Winners at $50 apiece. Awarded to the player with the highest weekly unit total in each week of the regular season. In the event of a tie, the $50 rolls over to the following week and is available to all players. In the event of a Week 18 tie, the prize money goes to the tied player with the highest season win percentage. Our Week One winner was Gman57 at +690 (8-1-0). I will keep an accounting of future weeks on this thread.

Playoffs Winner $200. Awarded to the player with the highest postseason unit total. Begins on Wild Card weekend and runs through the Super Bowl, covering 13 games and 26 total picks. Keep in mind that playoff picks are optional, the -110 no pick penalty only applies to the regular season. I'll post a reminder about this when we reach the end of the regular season.

Last Place $100. Awarded to the player with the lowest unit total from Week One through the Super Bowl. Failure to make a pick in any week of the regular season will result in disqualification from winning this prize.

Super Bowl Prediction Winner $200. Yeah, I'm bringing it back. I will create a separate thread for everyone's prediction and email everyone the link for it. Essentially, predict the two teams to appear in the Super Bowl and the final score. Whoever is most accurate, wins. Details in the next week or so.

First Place $1200

Second Place $600

Third Place $300

A tie for any of the top three places will go to the player with the best win percentage for the entire season. And please keep in mind that failure to make a pick during any week of the regular season will result in a penalty of -110 units and DQ you from winning last place.

In case anyone was wondering - Covers IT is looking into why there are no lines to pick for the Thursday and Friday night games. Stay tuned. 

Hey CT - Thursday night DAL @ PHI and Friday night KC @ LAC do not appear on the "make picks" page of the two office pools I am running.

Please advise on when you will have them up, thank you!

It goes without saying that preseason games do not count. Please do not pick them. If anybody does, I will post that player's scoring adjustment on this forum.

Hello CT,

Just created a private office pool "Our Gang's 25th Annual Football Pool" and I am hearing that some people are getting in with the password I provided but some are being told that the password is incorrect. Not sure why this would happen, can you guys look into it? I would like to keep the password I set up, is there a way I can confirm it via CT emailing me if needed? Let me know thank you.

Name of the office pool is Our Gang's 9th Annual High Roller Pool, I meant to create it with hidden picks but did not. Is it possible for you to change it so that pending picks cannot be seen by other players?

OK the Super Bowl is set.  Here's who's still alive:

Roz24 was the only player to correctly pick SF and KC and has the Niners on top.  If the Niners win, she wins.

Only two players have KC to win, with the following scores:

Imagine-Losing KC 27-24

Bextabluv  KC 28-21

If KC wins, results will be decided through the scoring tiebreakers listed at the beginning of the thread.  Everyone else is out.

Heading into the divisional round...Dallas, Philly and the Dolphins exit.

Five players still have two live teams, fourteen players still have one live team and nine players are out.

Moving into the postseason...

Cincy, Minnesota and the Jags are out.  Nineteen players still have two live teams, eight players have one live team and one player is out unless we get some combination of Houston / Pittsburgh / Cleveland vs. Tampa / Green Bay / LA Rams in the SB.

 Sorry man.  I gotta count the one with the earliest time stamp.  Having two AFC teams winning may work out in your favor anyway.

Covers has not restored the dedicated pool forum, so once again we are on the public office pool forum for this challenge.  Anyway - down to business:

This will be the official thread for posting your Super Bowl prediction for the 2023 season.  This is a $500 cash prize, awarded to the player that most accurately predicts this year's Super Bowl result.  Rules are simple, post the winner, loser and final score of the championship game.  For example:

Kansas City 38 Philadelphia 35

RULES:  All player predictions MUST BE posted on this thread to qualify.  I will not accept emails, texts or social media messages.  The deadline to make your prediction is Thursday, November 2nd prior to the kickoff of Week Nine's Thursday Night game.  Any predictions posted after the deadline will not count.  One prediction per player only.  If anyone posts multiple predictions, I will count the one with the earliest time stamp.

The winning player prediction will be determined as follows:

1.  Pick the winning and losing team.  If nobody picks both the winner and loser-

2.  Pick the winning team only.  If nobody picks the winning team-

3.  Pick the losing team only.  If nobody picks the losing team-

4.  Pick any team to appear in the game, win or lose.  If nobody picks any team to appear-

5.  Pick the winning conference (AFC / NFC).

Depending on how the above qualifiers play out, tiebreaking scenarios will be decided in this order:

1.  Closest predicted margin of victory without exceeding the final game score margin of victory.  If players are still tied-

2.  Closest predicted game point total without exceeding the final game point total.  If players are still tied-

3.  Tied player with the best overall win percentage on the season.

I will post a breakdown of all player predictions after the deadline passes.  Good luck everybody!
