I played the over 6.5. Every game with Crochet starting that I bet under has lost. I took the over based on that. |

I look at all the totals in this thread regularly and now I'm starting to factor in the WHIP: Walks, Hits per Innings Pitched. I realize that ERA's are good gauge to over/unders, but the WHIP is a stat that might hold more value than the ERA. So I take all these trends mixed with these stats and the weather and that's how I factor the totals. |

I had the Twins under 8.5 -115. How did you get 7.5? Did the odds open there or did you buy a run? |

Cleveland vs Reds falls into the "zig zag" theory on totals. |

The biggest debacle was the Braves losing to Arizona in the 9th! Follow up with OKC blowing the lead. |

Pfaadt is getting shelled! 3 doubles in a row. Dbacks manager should have taken him out at 5 runs. |

@Sacramoni I actually think you are correct. Total trends last for a good amount of games but eventually they trend the opposite. |

There's an old adage that runs through some of the bettors I know, and many believe the early games go under. The problem is that, that is a bet in itself, and some of the relief pitchers are just terrible. They can't find the strike zone. Yesterday the same thing happened in the Pirates AZ game but this time Arizona bombed! The match up of Galen vs Skenes looked like it screamed under. 10 - 1 Pirates. |

I bet the under 8 about 10 years ago Phillies vs Mets. The game was 4 - 3 Phillies after 3 innings and it went under! |

The Pirates have no relievers of holding anyone down. With all due respect I'd play them over in their next game. The old days of the Pirates are long gone. They have not had a tough closer since 1979 when no one could hit Kent Tekulve. |

This was a bad beat. I saw it coming after DeGrom was taken out. The middle reliever for Texas could get the Yankees out and Luke Jackson serves up a homerun. I lost close to $1000 after winning $4000 last month. But I hate giving it back. Good pick but Texas' offense sucked when we needed the big hit with the bases loaded 2x. |
