Hey guys,
I don't bet college Bball much but I was wondering if Louisville is a solid play today to put in a parlay? Anyone have a read on the two teams playing today? |

Look for a Seahawks win tonight. But look for this to be a back and forth game. Maybe 1-3 lead changes. This game should stay within 10 points either way all night, as the NFL wants good viewership of these two teams.

Who are the prime time games this Sunday night and Monday night? Also what's the lines for those games?

I agree, the primetime games here are what I speak of, not the Sunday noon games.
Advertising needs eyes and the only way they get eyes on the game is if its close. If its a blowout the casual fan won't care. |

Well, this game pretty much folllowed script. Take note, this can only really happen with national tv games like SNF and MNF.

As the evening ends-
Most of the normal audience is well on their way to sleep or already sleeping. The game thus far has done its job, it was close for 3 quarters. Likely will end a 1 possession game, however it woukdnt surprise me if Ravens begin to pull away now after this Steelers possession. |

My friend-
I didn't say I was surprised, to the contrary, this is quite predictable, but not because the cowboys 'woke up' during the last drive of the 2nd quarter. If you watched the game, Phil Simms even said himself that he expects Oakland to stick with the tough defense. Instead Oakland plays deep cover defense allowing Romo wide open receivers to move down the field and bring the game within a posession going into halftime. It was also inevitable that McGloin couldnt maintain his 75% 3rd down completion percentage but that wouldnt matter anyways if Oakland went up 28-7. |

There's the TD to now keep it a one possession game...

There's the fg to only keep it a two possession game so that people don't start tuning out and going to bed. I now expect Steelers to score this drive. At worst, they will punt, ravens will punt it back and then steelers will get another shot to score.

Hines ward and Costas just echoed this....
Ravens may score a fg on this opening drive, then Steelers will get a td and make it a 1 possession game. Will likely stay that was until 4th quarter. |

Thanks, now we will watch how it plays out starting in fifteen minutes.

Be on the lookout for this 'close game' for later tonight. Game will come down to the 4th quarter.

And there's the back door cover.
Jerry Jones gets his team a win, gamblers lose on cowboys. Prime time showing.

Gents,
Just wanted to make a note here. I'm NOT advocating that games are fixed by any means, (meaning that a certain team is 100% predestined to win). However, just wanted to point something out that I've noticed here. Oakland was converting some crazy percentage of 3rd downs (75%). This game was going Oakland's way up 21-7. All Oakland needed to do was come up with a defensive stop to go into the half 21-7 and then get the ball back to start the 2nd half. If that happened and Oakland scored to start the 2nd half to make the game 28-7, most people would quit watching this game. Clearly, this is not what the NFL (and more importantly) the NFL's partners and advertisers want. Hence, Oakland plays some strange prevent defense, allows Romo to move it down the field and make it 21-14 at the half. A game, most people consider competitive and keep viewers glued to TV. I render a guess that Cowboys will probably win this game straight up, not sure about a cover. But this is a clear case of money dictating how the game flows. Sincerely, Consigliere
