Hope each and everyone of you is enjoying time off with your family members and thinking about how great a country we all live in.
On to the plays...
Washington (+100) I know Tommy Hanson is a stud as I live in Atlanta and have seen most of his starts. However, Lannon is just as good especially at home where he posts a 2-0 record with and ERA of 2.03 averaging 6.7 innings pitched. With 88% ML and 93% RL money on the Braves, I will take the home dog here in the Capital on the 4th.
NY Yankees (+101) Yankees are a home dog here where they are 27-18 after a win, 10-4 when the home total is 9-9.5, and 24-15 at home. The Jays are only averaging 2.7 runs in their last seven games while the Yankees have posted 5.4 runs during the same time. Toronto is 2-5 during this stretch while the Yankees have won 8 of 9. I know the Doc is a stud, but not sure he will be in top form 2nd start off of DL. Wang is not the pitcher he was a year ago, but I think he is starting to get it together.
Cubs/Brewers Under 9 (+100) The battle for 1st started with a great 2-1 Cubs victory today. I see another close low scoring battle here. The under is 8-1 in Looper's last 9 starts against the Cubs, while Harden is 2-1 under over his three starts against the Brewers. The under is 5-2 in the Cubs last 7 games, while the Brewers are 17-9 under in day games. I will take the plus money here.
Have a great day and enjoy the fireworks with your friends and family. I will see you at the ticket window...

tough to say on that one..the wind is a crosswind and lilly has been an under machines. Throw in the Cleveland pen, and your guess is as good as mine.

The early picks look like everyone is pounding the favorite!!! Not so fast my friends, let's take a look at today's plays:
Tampa Bay (-101) Everyone is betting on the fact that Santana comes back to true form. Let's look at his line over the past three games.
Santana has an ERA of 9.56, WHIP of 1.750 and posts a 1-2 record. As you did deeper, he has on pitched 16 innings(avg. of 5 1/3) giving up 17 runs...all of them earned. Top that of with he has given up 24 hits(6 for HR) and has a SO/Walk ratio of 8 to 4, Santana is not the pitcher he was last year.
Shields on the other hand is 1-1 in his last three with an ERA of 3.48 and a WHIP of 1.258. Add that to the fact that he has averaged 6.9 innings per start and has 15 strikeouts and only 1 walk giving up no HR's.
Tampa Bay is the play here.
Detroit (-112) Why all the love for the Brewers? I know they played great against Cleveland, but come on Dave Bush!! He is horrible in his last three coming in with a 9.42 ERA and a WHIP of 1.814. He has only averaged 4.8 innings over his last three giving up giving up 15 runs(all earned), 18 total hits, and 4 HR's. Detroit will feed off of him.
Detroit is the play.
Cleveland(+154) Everyone feels like the Cubs have broken through and with Lilly on the mound let's pound the Cubbies. 79% ML, and 96% RL right now for the Cubbies. Yes Lilly is on a roll, but Okha's only start was a 3-1 loss to the Cardinals in which he only gave up 2 runs...2HR's from Fat Albert. He went 7 and gave up 7 hits...My opinion there will be alot of frustration from Cubs backers today at the end.
Cleveland is the play.
Good luck with all your wagers and I will see you at the ticket counter....
