What rule was changed to pass the ACA in the house?

Al is part if the problem but since he's "one of their own" he gets a pass.

Spending bills are supposed to originate in the House. The Senate attached ACA to a spending bill ( HR 3590 ) and sent it back to the House. They didn't wait for Scott Brown to take office in Ted Kennedy's spot.

The House dems didn't change the bill which made it so it didn't have to go back to the Senate and the Pres. could sign it strait away.

And the fact that newt, Romney, and a bunch of RINOs are for state run health care proves that there really is no choice, or honest broker of opposition to big government/ warfare/ welfare state. 

 

So, in reality, ACA could and should have been done 20 years ago.

Actually, ObamaCare is the antithesis of HilaryCare which never had a madate and was designed to create a one-payer system.

I've started to notice that any Republican who is socially moderate gets the RINO nickname.

I am personally anti abortion, but I have never advocated making it illegal.  I think it is morally reprehensible but have never said that we should make it illegal.

I am 100% for the rights of gays. I don't even know why you would even tie that to me.

You use the word RINO frequently. Perhaps you can point me to a person who is considered a RINO that supports a socially conservative viewpoint, because as of now, it seems reserved for the Susan Collins, McCains, Romneys (before he ran in 2012), Christies, etc. And coincidentally, these politicians are all socially moderate. Hmmmm.....

Honestly at the end of the day, If you believe in the Constitution, believe in the a free market approach to problems, and believe in low taxes.

I do not care about much else.  Social issues are distractions for the weak of mind.  I do not look to politicians for morality.

I've never heard of anyone calling Santorum a RINO.

I don't actually know much about Cruz, I know that he pays lip service to the constitution. I have seen him align himself with people I respect.  Not sure if he is a RINO yet. 

But there are a few epic RINOs that have put on the tea party moniker. 

Sarah Palin, Bachman, that looneytune that tried to get Reid's senate seat, and most of the Tea Partiers that attempt to overtly promote Theocratic dogma.
