I though the Koch brothers were trying to take over the LATimes ...

Did the Koch brothers take over the New York Times instead?

The New York Times : Obama has“now lost all credibility..

    .. pigs CAN fly..

The AmericanPravda (the NYT) is finally recognizing “reality” ....

What happened ?  IRS must have decided to audit the NYT or wiretap their reporters ..

It's all over but the shouting THE NEW YORK TIMES is turning on Obama ....now the NYT editorial board and Rush Limbaugh  share the same view of Obama..

The New York Times editorial board ripped the Obama administration in a scathing editorial Thursday afternoon, writing that it has “now lost all credibility” after revelations that the administration has been collecting the phone records of millions of Verizon customers.

It came as something of a surprise, considering the board’s normally friendly view toward the administration.

But in the editorial, the Times’ board criticised the Obama administration in much of the same way it scrutinized the Bush administration. It wrote that the Obama administration’s justification for the program — the Patriot Act — is not good enough:

Mr. Obama clearly had no intention of revealing this eavesdropping, just as he would not have acknowledged the killing of Anwar al-Awlaki, an American citizen, had it not been reported in the press. Even then, it took him more than a year and a half to acknowledge the killing, and he is still keeping secret the protocol by which he makes such decisions.

We are not questioning the legality under the Patriot Act of the court order disclosed by The Guardian. But we strongly object to using that power in this manner. It is the very sort of thing against which Mr. Obama once railed, when he said in 2007 that the Bush administration’s surveillance policy “puts forward a false choice between the liberties we cherish and the security we provide.”

The editorial board called for the Patriot Act to be “sharply curtailed, if not repealed.”

Yes, you are right, "Pigs can now fly!"

This is not good news when an ally goes against you.  But I've always thought that the NY Times was more fair than you rightys give it credit for.

Still, all in all, trouble for BO.

Now it's CBS and Bloomberg News ..

Polls: Recent controversies deplete public trust in Obama administration .

Nearly half of Americans do not believe that President Obama was unaware of the IRS targeting of conservative groups for excessive scrutiny until he read about it in press reports, according to a new poll from Bloomberg News.

47% of Americans sampled said they don't believe Mr. Obama is being truthful about when he was informed of the IRS targeting scandal, which has been roiling Washington for weeks, while only 40 percent believe him.,,,CBS NEWS

There's that 47% number again.  I'm one of the 47% and I resent you calling me a "rat."  I prefer being called a large mouse.

I doubt that the NYT will be all upset with their boyfriend Obama for too long.

Actually it backfired for Al Gore!  He backed away from Clinton, thinking his Lewdinsky scandal would hurt his election chances.  Big mistake.  Clinton is the most popular ex-president in history.

    Al, you blew it!

If only Hillary had done her job as first lady, Lewdinsky wouldn't have happened and Gore would have been president!

All kidding aside you are correct ,if Gore had embraced Bill Clinton he would have won the election ,,because he would have then  probably carried Arkansas (which he didn't) and Florida would have never entered into the picture ..

Another scenario ..if Gore didn't embrace Clinton, but won the state that he was born, raised and elected in and the state his father was born raised and elected in ..No Florida hanging chads and Al Gore would have been the President of the United States...

I guessTennessee knew their native son ....as well as Tipper did.

Tennessee does start with a "Tea" as in party.  Very conservative state for a guy like Gore.  Clinton was centrist enough to easily carry Arkansas.

But yes, Gore had bad strategy.  Remember the kiss he gave Tipper at the demo convention?  It's like he was trying to say, "I love my wife!"  Didn't they end up getting a divorce?

The big truth tellers edited their own editorial.

The editorial originally declared that the Obama “administration has lost all credibility” as a result of the recently revealed news that the National Security Agency and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been secretly collecting call data from American users of Verizon under the authority of the Patriot Act.

But hours later the stinging sentence had been modified to read the Obama “administration has now lost all credibility on this issue.” [Emphasis added]
