I hate to do this, but I might actually have to vote for Mitt.  It's a win/win.  On the one hand, if his magic works, great, I win.  On the other hand, after all the rioting dies down and all the major cities stop smoldering and I can get a handle on the Mitt-apocalypse, then I can say "told you he was full of shit" as I scavenge for food.

Paul Ryan has only passed two bills into law  in more than a decade ( He has been in Congress for about 13 years)

That would be a catastrophic disaster for the entire country, I mean if he can't fix the economy in his 1st term with the policies he has in place now...how can he fix it with the same policies in his 2nd term?...impossible!...just the same high unemployment and a staggering projected 20 trillion dollar defict to come...ouch!

His economic policies aren't working now and so surely it won't work if he gets a 2nd term...why would anyone in their right mind trust him and his clan?...blind ignorant loyalty I guess...lol

I strongly believe the majority of Americans will not reward an incumbent president a 2nd term knowing he and his clan failed miserably in their 1st term...as an independent I certainly won't vote for him!.

I doubt it drJ - still like Obama in a close one. Once the surge of energy from the base (folks that would vote for him anyway) settles down & everything is laid out, the woman's vote & elderly in key states will get it done for Obama. Gonna get nastier & should be interesting (especially the debates where I expect Obama & Ryan to come out on top in their respective 1's) , but its Obama for 4 more -

Unfortunately a very high % of the people that voted for Obama are doing much worse now than they were doing in 2008 and will not get off their ass to vote this time . On the other hand,  the informed voters who realize Obama has been pissing on their foot and telling them it is raining, will get get up very early on election day to put him on the unemployed side of this economy that he did nothing to improve.

tennis - would agree maybe a decade or so longer ago, but now there's so much media hoopla & intensity surrounding it, I expect the dems to come out in full force. Not good for Romney/Ryan...

And noone from either side would have the economy in any better shape at this point. Maybe less debt, but no better job & unemployment wise -

Vice President candidates are overrated in ability to influence voters.  Normally, voters consider party and policies more important than candidates.  Many voters don't know candidates but just blindly vote for everyone from party.

Especially in this day of outsourcing & a global economy. Yes, their policies can influence the economy, but there is no proof whatsoever that anything Romney wants to do or may do will create any more jobs or better the overall economy than Obama. And with Romney and no regs at all on the financial sector, imo we run a greater risk of more war/military involvement & another financial disaster which sure as hell would further hurt the economy.

1) obama has been a failure because the econmy hasn't improved any more than it has.

2) romney's lowering of taxes, regs & whatever else will spur a flourishing economy with ample job creation

Keys to Obama Win in November:

1) Women

2) the elderly in key states

3) Latinos

4) his policies & direction will appeal to & benefit alot more indy's than Romney's
