If true, RIP.   At the end of the day, we are all part of a community of people that understand each other.  Outsiders don't understand the grind/passion/enthusiasm/challenge/hope of what we do each and every day throughout the year.  We go through the highs and lows together.  Only a select few can do this with success and Neil was honestly one of them.  A true class act and a good man.  Crazy to think people here at covers can die tragically without people ever really knowing them and they still have a genuine impact on our lives.

    He was a great man

Well said stuck.  Neil was a great poster, and someone I learned a great deal from.  I wish I expressed my appreciation more while he was around.  We as gamblers really are unique. It is truly a sad day to learn we lost a brother today.  RIP Neil.  Your passion will live in each of us.

Neil followed very low pro games, he was always betting crazy conference games, but he had so much info you wouldnt think he was telling the truth. He knew his stuff. He was without a doubt the BEST capper on this site, and like the sickos on here he took days off, he was actually smart, he had a wife and kids which he referred to many times on here, we can only hope they are ok with this.

I legit dont even know this guy and im getting teary eyed, Ive been on covers for years, certain cappers just no each other and this is a BIG HIT. I feel awful, Im legit drinking taking shots for a guy I never met just due to the fact what a class act he was. He was a member for probaly close to 10 years and he never said ONE bad thing abotu anyone

i want to donate to something, maybe a scholarship at Illinois State or Illinois because I know he followed them a ton.

Do we have anything that confirms this? A news story or something? Cuz I can't see anything on a Neil Ropp facebook page

That's sad.  Real sad.  Wasn't close to him @ all, but I see in only the couple hours of this thread being up, all the positive words & love people have to say for this man.

RIP.  And deepest & sincerest condolences to his family & friends as well.
