I saved up $2500 and I'm gonna be betting across all major sports.

Each play is $50. This is a long term grind. Not taking no shots here.

To start it off I'm betting wildcard weekend.

    Here are the picks:

Vikings +5 (Got this a little early before Marshawn's absence was announced)

    and Vikings +4.5

    Redskins PK

Anymore bets that I announce I'll be sure to post

Good luck whether you're following or fading

why the hell wud you wish sumone good luck if theyre fading you??

This says it all right here.  Might as well have spent four years spending that money on person and coke, you no, real women studies.  I thought college's only put that major on the course outline to make the faculty and students giggle, not that people actually spend 48 months of their life and tends-of-thousands of dollars to end up with a laminated 8.5" by 11" piece of paper and a smock from Walgreens.

I'm a grown man. I'm not going to be petty enough to wish ill-will on other people.

At the end of the day, we're all in the same battle. We all live by the sword, die by the sword, so I feel it's only right to wish people luck whatever side they happen to be on.

No, it's a liberal arts degree. Essentially worthless, but hey, you gotta study what you're passionate about.

You're 100-percent right, chief. I definitely no that it was a bad idea to squander tends-of-thousands on that stuff, but hey, you live and you learn.

On the plus side I can tell you all about burning bras and abstaining from shaving.

The scenario you're suggesting is completely unrelated to what I said in the OP. Regardless, you got me confused with a man who repeats himself.

Gonna call this a little early fellas. had some NBA bets but I won't post them here. That will be for a seperate thread on the NBA sub forum.

Either way looks like we're gonna finish 1-1 on the day here in NFL.

Stay tuned for more picks as well as NBA. I'll post my NBA thread in here so those interested can check it out.

Your '10 plays a year buddy' has made 70,000 in 5 years. That's an annual income of 14,000- that's poverty level. Why not get another job you may like more- sounds like you weren't killing it in your retail gig anyway. Your fifty dollar a game is the only thing I agree with you on- you shouldn't bet more. This forum is filled with a lot of knowledge about the perils of gambling. Most of us would love to gamble for a living, but our experience with the ebb and flow of this hobby concludes that we have another flow of income (say a day job!). I do root for your success, but my experience would recommend having a job as well. You will get some knowledgeable insight in this forum- you just need to separate the comments from insightful to sheer nonsense.

FN450 I personally don't think 2500 is enough to make a living at it.  I am guessing you would need at least around 20k or so.  Keep your job and slowly build your roll with 50 bets and see how you do.  Gl man people are being harsh in this thread but it makes sense because you aren't working with much with 2500.  People laughing at $50 bets is kind of stupid though.  I have made plenty of $50 $100 and even $20 bets I don't see the big deal in betting small amounts.

Just put it all on a 4 teamer and try to make $25-$30K then go from there.  Won't be able to make a living betting $50 a game.

    And if it doesn't?

You guys got prime fade material!

This is the best of both worlds!

Anyway, Vikings and the points gets it done.

    Let's keep this rolling baby!

I am in the process of making the switch to Philippines to live at least 6 months a year. Gotta come back to meet residency requirements so I can get a pension when I'm old lol.

I speak the language and am up to date on the cost of living for things such as condo rentals, groceries, transport and hoes. The most important thing is good internet connection. Poor internet connection means you can't play.

You will have to adapt to the different lifestyle whether it be the heat, food and possibly noise depending on where you live. Hell even the  aircon in my condo makes more noise than I'd prefer.

Having said that, the pros outweigh the cons. I am absolutely fed up with the crap attitudes by Aussie women and my family live in a manner I consider disgraceful. That is my motivating reason for getting the hell out!! Just a year or two more of saving and that's it for me.

I  would suggest a bank account you don't touch and let it compound or a 401k which you add to and then five figures of play money so you can really do this properly. Like CG or myself when I was there, you still gotta make your monthly payments some how with no steady job.

Thanks for the post man. Good luck and keep doing what you're doing.

By the way guys, I'll be posting my pick for tonight's College football chip in the NCAAF forum, I'll link that thread down below

Wow. I must be big time if random posters are trying to advertise themselves in my thread. Hey buddy, don't think I won't charge you rent for trying to set up shop in here...

Not NFL-related obviously, but Clemson +7 in my college football final thread is a winner. Hope some of you were on the same side.

I wish you luck, but I would be astonished if you averaged a net profit of 2 units a week, and it is hard to imagine how anyone could live on $5,200 a year without consuming his betting bankroll.
