just for curiosity.why was pv banned. i have read a lot of dirty talk in this thread but apparently only pv was banned. correct me if iam wrong .a tout is any person who solicits business or employment in an importune manner. are there instances where pv became a tout.
I would like a reason too. It seems a little strange to ban the person who has has the most popular thread on the forum without giving a reason.
and as far as this tout thing is concerned, pittviper has been a regular forum poster for years on other forums and has posted plenty of threads like this. He just got a little overhyped after a good run, which i guess attracted a lot of tailers and a lot of haters. I don't know if he was planning to go tout, but i'd be disappointed and surprised if he was. And I don't think anyone on this forum had any real reason to believe he would.
like i said in the cbb thread, we're all here to just beat the books, but some people seem more concerned with their cred as the big guy. it's a depressing thread.

guy is not a known tout yet.... not once has he said he is charging for picks... lots of people have multiple screennames so that is just BS... it is covers trying to keep people from winning so they fold and buy their crappy picks

Here is where the caution comes in. Many new members will disregard money management and try to cash in on a hot streak. Their problem, but an instinctual response. People also like to be in the majority. Aliases and friends/accomplices set a group mentality in motion that makes newbie gamblers get out of their comfort zone. There also is the possibility that I already work for a book. When all my new "friends" ask me to recommend a sports book, Cha ching! You better believe that a good capper can swing a betting line. Especially if it is a lesser bet game, or at a specific book.
Look for these signs from members "new to Covers".
-Bashing an established capper(If you don't like a guys picks, don't bet them. Don't hate, especially right out of the gate)
-Touting a new capper(Thank anyone for good advice/picks. Don't worship or try to sway others to a different capper)
-Asking for picks early, as if they aren't to be missed(They're free picks and not guaranteed. Stop acting like your about to bang Salma Hayek)

If you come on here from another site to tour or look like you are getting ready to tout, you will and should get banned. These guys that run covers don't do it for free. I dont ! because this guy was not a tout ! Just posted free picks. He has yet to post something asking for money or posting a site. But they banned him anyway based on the fact Jumpball said he was posting under different names. If that is so, you put up a warning on the page, let him know, whatever. But no one would ever get banned right away for posting under different names.
But if covers wants him gone, You do a super quick progressive thing like this during the morning, before everyone is on. Delete certain posts, ad good one that benefit the argument.
