1) Best overall - delilah's if you're a whiskey drinker. best prices, best selection i've ever seen. so, delilah's for me. green mill is up there, too
2) Best friendly locals hangout - rossi's is sweet. opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 2 a.m. hanging out there, you'll see a variety of people that chicago has to offer. and if you're a decent person, the bartender will love you just because of all the other shit that they have to put up with. brando's speakeasy is a close runner up.
3) Best modern sports bar - timothy o'toole's
4) Best place for a tourist to have a drink - ceres under the board of trade building. lots of history there. they give you a rocks glass full of your booze of choice with a can of pop on the side for like 7 bucks. only open on weekdays when the markets are open. also opens at like 6 am. for weekends, fulton market has a ton to offer - i like kuma's and federales
5) That sketchy joint you want to avoid even if they're giving out free drinks - big shitty aka big city tap
No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing

Splendid breakdown. My oldest son lives in Indy and as a pilot he normally travels here to visit. But my wife and I are going to see him in early November for a few days when he's off-schedule. I'm thinking about a Chicago day trip just because none of us have ever been. We shall see. Thanks very much

When I travel I always take the safe route. National parks, quiet modern or historic towns, etc. I've been staying in the safe but enjoyable shallows. I'm ready to dive into the deep end where I may sink or swim. You only live once.

awesome! you better bring a warm coat if you own one. if you're with the mrs, definitely check out the green mill. it was owned by one of capone's guys, so it was a frequent hang out for him. louie armstrong used to play there a lot. they always have live music, and it's mostly jazz or swing music. it's a very cool, unique place with a lot of histroy and you don't really have to worry about younger crowds there. if you happen to come out, let me know and i'll point you in the direction of the must have's in that area. there's a lot of touristy bullshit that people from chicago don't mess with. like deep dish. i had a convo with d about this. lol. for whatever reason we got labeled as the deep dish city and no one eats it. that's like a treat when my mom comes to visit, but everyone, and i mean everyone, here eats thin crust

Only if you refuse to eat the fresh caught baby seal meat.
Thanks ODB, I'll let you know if we put Chicago on the brief agenda

Washington's injury report is plentiful, no spot to heal up on a short week with travel. While the Bears will get top CB Jaylon Johnson back after missing 2 games. N'keal Harry is off IR, he should provide some help for the wr core. Albeit it might not be much help, the Bears will take any help for that unit at this point.
Justin Fields has obtained some confidence recently, he's on the up n up passing wise. His legs have been a weapon all year. Carson Wentz is Carson Wentz. When is the last time anyone had any expectations for this guy with good reason? He's a statue and doesn't get any help from his run game. He also popped up on the injury report with a shoulder.
We should see a bare bones playbook on both sides of the ball, this game is right in the Bears wheel house.

Fried baby seal meat might go well on a pizza

The look ahead line reached -2.5, before the Teddy injury. Is Teddy 5.5 pts better than Skylar? What would this line be with Tua? -5.5 or so?
I watched Skylar Thompson all pre season long. I thought that he was the sharpest qb in their camp. Vs the Jets he was thrown into the fire. Give him a full week of practice with the 1's and I think we see better results.
Miami has had only 2 home games this year where they beat the Patriots and Bills. It will be humid(20% chance of rain) with a high of 85 on Sunday. That hfa is real, even when we enter the fall season.
As great as Cousins looked vs the Bears in the 1H, he was playing a lesser secondary without Jaylon Johnson in the comfort of his home dome. He then proceeded to pull a Kirk Cousins in the 2H, and the Vikings were losing at one point in the 4th quarter.
I just see the Dolphins rally hard after being embarrassed by the Jets. They were barely out stated by the Jets but totally screwed themselves with 11 penalties and 2 turnovers. The Jets managed to score on 5 of 6 redzone opportunities, all with the run.

Here's a game I'm sure no one wants a part of.
