The media is ramming this shit down our throats so they can race bait and stir up their usual shit. I am pretty sure a lot of white people were killed by blacks that same day. I dont see those stories all over the news. Perhaps you can post some of them for us Scalabrine because we should all be empathetic to them as well

As I said in a prior post (which I don't feel the need to quote the exact post number, because you're the only one who thinks posting the exact number of the post somehow lends more credibility to it) What Zimmerman did was absolutely wrong and he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. You always sit on your high horse and make up, or distort facts. So pick a few words or sentences, and make a few ignorant condescending comments about them lol. You criticize everyone else, all the time, and your the one who can't see the forest for the trees lol. You bring nothing to the table. Get out of your mom's basement and go out into the real world for a minute, or just do us all a favor and shut up. I have to go board up my windows now in case the blacks rise up.......yawn.

If you find my rhetoric 'boring' that's your opinion and you have a right to it. I'm not here to 'entertain' people with a thread about a slain black minor. It is 'redundant', yes, because I continually have to repeat things to covers members, including yourself, who are unable to comprehend or refuse to read applicable posts before making comments that have already been addressed at length.

Number 2: Zimmerman is Hispanic (Peruvian) not white.

I'd like the covers members reading this to take note here as I've been pointing this out about Caucasians for quite some time.

According to media reports, Zimmerman is half-white/half-Hispanic (and I don't want to get into an argument about the second half, because we now understand Hispanic to be an ethnicity for the purposes of this thread).

Like with Obama, Zimmerman's 'whiteness' or 'white-half' is immediately discarded in favor of his ethnic/racial or 'non-white' half in terms of identification. Many people see Obama as a Black man (and worse) and only a Black man when they talk about his race. He is of course, biracial, and had a mother that looked the same in skin color to the overwhelming majority of posters this site.

So IroningBoard722, either: A) you just want to say something to prove me wrong (when in reality the timing of the revelation of his background this has been bludgeoned to death throughout this thread) or B) you simply assigned the race/ethnicity of an individual to its lowest societal position in terms of privilege, wealth and status.

This has been done for CENTURIES with mixed race individuals. There was the 'Pencil Test' and the 'Comb Test' to measure the coarseness of a black individual's hair. Worse, there was a "One-drop" test whereby 'one drop' of black blood (I'd love to see the 'science' behind that one), made you black. Again, if 'black', people knew where you stood in terms of social status and access, or in this case, lack thereof, public goods/funds/environments.

If IroningBoard722 knew he was half-hispanic, then he knew he was half-white because the father's race (White) is typically mentioned along with the mother's in articles addressing this.

His father is white (5th Paragraph).

No matter. Board immediately applies his 'one-drop rule' without even knowing it and subconsciously affirms this man's heritage is nothing like himself. And he likely doesn't even know he's doing it. Who would? We know there are racists in society but who, outside of extremist bigots/hate groups, are willing to declare it? No one of course. The "Re-Ni*" bumper sticker thread reveals this when the seller of stickers simply looked up the offensive word and denied race had anything to do with it after reading the definition. This doesn't make IroningBoard a racist, but certainly does bring into question how he assesses those who are 'not fully white.' This is something he should examine personally.

Actually, I'm not the only one 'obsessed' with race. I address race and to people like you, if you even BROACH the topic, it is an 'obsession' for one reason - you don't like to talk about it. Is the nation 'obsessed' with race given they are talking about this story every day, many who are doing it in the interest of justice for a family and the deceased?

Except as the facts have borne out (again, this is all throughout this thread and clearly one he didn't read but then feels self-righteous enough to tell me what the facts surrounding this case are), he didn't just 'approach' Zimmerman. According to the 911 tapes, he very well stalked him and then after being told not to confront or pursue him by the 911 operator, he did so.

That is not 'approaching' someone in the least, in your attempts to make the confrontation 'benign' on Zimmerman's part.

So IroningBoard, before you come into one of my threads, try reading the fucking thing. You'll make it so much easier on yourself, me and everyone else who has to pain themselves by reading your posts.

Typical post from a bigot (and this one is not ashamed of that label given this content of his post) who believes that the alleged 'young black thug' profile could supply a reason to be executed when he is unarmed and returning home from a convenience store to his family.

New details are emerging releasing some more of what happened..It defintely now appears a fight did ensue and a witness claims Zimmerman was on the ground crying for help before he decided to shoot this boy. This is a tough case regardless, especially with Florida laws...This is a lose lose scenario for all the families involved. rough one

The guys has a broken nose and a gash on the back of his head. Witness said that he saw Martin slamming Zimmerman's head on the ground before Trayvon got got.

I find it difficult to believe that people are reaching any conclusions period about this. There is not enough facts or information out to make a reasonable conclusion about what occurred. But the fact remains this -- if Mr. Zimmerman doesn't get out of his car when he was "stalking" or following this young man, then there is no subsequent altercation and shooting. Let the police do their job and mind your own f****** business.
