is Survivor REAL or FAKE?

After the recent rule changes, what is the current view of the 20+ year show?

I have watched loyal since the beginning of WHIMPY.  

Season after season, I watch, say someday I'll be there, someday my kids will play

what a time in life to go to Fiji, but in the past it went all over the globe

covid screwed everything up just like all aspects of life, but the Survivor show went dark for like 2 years

even big brother showed before it and big bro is like jersey shore to me, bunch of clowns

million bucks doesn't go that far these days so JEFF PROBST up the ante, my gas bill is $100, my grocery is $400

to go to Fiji with no rice for a month for a million?

there's a reason they went to rice

I want to say more but I am digitally muted by choice 

PLAY THE GAME STOP THE CRYING

On shows like Survivor, Big Brother, etc, you're paid for whatever time you are there. Not to the sun of a million but you get something.

Still a decent show but not what it used to .

I miss the The toughness of a Susan Hawk and the downright deception of a Johnny Fairplay. Cast members have changed with the political correctiveness as well as the seasons are now being shortened.

To many idols coming into play late in the game and a fair amount of switches have In my opinion made the game less strategic.

Richard Hatch was always one of the best.

if it played out different at end, say muscle head wins last immunity instead of the pageant queen who goes final?  I'd say he probably still takes the young girl who's had minimum jury influence knowing his boy mike for Hoboken kills the fire challenge but maybe the chance he loses.  when MaryAnn showed her idol at final 3 that wasn't needed to get her there...

the 30 min badgering of voted out jury didnt help either, they just pick the questions that need the answer to vote for who wins with least backlash.

tho he may have well taken the pageant queen who had no resume, and his bro mike does fire with one of the girls.  then it gets cloudy but that didnt happen

LONG LIVE WHIMPY

I started watching survivor only when I first started dating the Mrs so 16ish years ago. We watch it ritually, DVR so that we don't miss episodes, though she's more into it than I.

I say that, in the years I have followed the show, that this was the most unimpressive cast as far as playing the game. Most survivor players are super fans with encyclopedic knowledge of every season, every strategy, every move, every play ever made. This bunch though...

I felt Mike from Hoboken should have won. I felt he pleaded his case in the wrong manner. In survivor, when pleading your case, it's always this pressure to lay out all your dishonesties and double crosses. And even in the interviews with the jurors, some mentioned they needed that from Mike before they could write his name down. I've always said that if someone could make it to the end without double crossing a ton of people, make it to the end remaining true to themselves, then that itself has merit because it's such a departure from what it typically takes to survive survivor. There have been people who have tagged along to the final three without breaking their word, etc but for a major player to accomplish this is a great in and of itself and deserves consideration. Especially in a season like this particularly weak on gameplay.

It's always been fake.
