Looking at some advanced xGF and xGA, etc. It shows a range from 4-2, 2-4, 3-3, 4-3, 3-4 with a composite of 2.9-3.2

Then I looked at neither team playing well but STL slightly worse.

Everything worked out to a line of VAN +111

So, 47.39-43.29 = 4.1

I think this puts the odds in may favor enough to play VAN

The CH play on the PL is based on some of the same stuff.  But is more of a form and trend play.

CH is 9-1 on PL and 4-0 away on PL

ED is 3-8 on PL and 2-2 home on PL

But the worry is always an empty-netter because I think it is hard for CH to have the lead.  But hope they keep it close.

I would like to add that I am just now starting the season.  So, a lot of the information is not built up as much as I would like just yet.

Hopefully, as the season progresses it will get better.

Just current season matters to me.  Unless it is some weird streak.  For example, a couple of years back in MLB the Rangers had lost to the Padres 10 or 11 straight games.  That is interleague, so it is curious and hard to ignore.  

In NHL there are some current streaks with SJ and CH -- but mainly because they have just been so bad.  But a couple of weird ones are WIN/MN and MIN/MON.

But statistics only matter to me from the current year.  As the season progresses, the more recent ones matter more than earlier ones, etc.
