My father always talked about the "law of averages" and the "wounded dog in the corner." If those two betting thoughts were ever applicable it would be this evening. Throw in ability to win OTR, the Leafs beat the Bolts all 3 games at Amalie, albeit in OT, how do you not take Toronto tonight? Winning 5 playoff games in a row is incredibly difficult, the Panthers have, in any sport, and Toronto while outplayed these first two games will be emotionally charged tonight, it's a must win. "Must"wins don't always win but the Leafs got caught with their pants down after finally winning a playoff series and against Tampa no less. I expect Matthews, Tavares, and company to skate the Panthers out of their own arena tonight and a Panthers meltdownin sunny Florida. I'm on the Leafs-
Toronto ML-130, 1 unit
Toronto -1.5, +185, .5 unit
As always good luck to all!

I have lived in Toronto area for my entire life. You sound like a typical delusional Leaf fan hoping for things work out against the Panthers There are reasons the Leafs lost 2 games at home against the Panthers, and it's not because Toronto was the better team. I personally think the Leafs are the most-over rated team in the NHL. Their current GM likes to use numbers & "analytics" to build a team. I like to compare the Maple Leafs to a top notch pond hockey team. They are a thrill for the fans to watch during the regular season, as the team is built with speed + skill. Their team is loaded with fast skilled players. Their top 4 forward core takes up approx 1/2 of the entire team roster salary cap. There lies the problem for the over-rated Leafs. They somehow managed to beat Tampa after being out played for much of the series. After Florida deservedly beat the Bruins in 7 games in round 1, Leaf fans thought there was no way the Panthers matched up against our team, the Leafs are more skilled and faster than the fluky Panthers who got "lucky" beating Boston. As the second round started the heavily backed Leafs opened as favorites for the Stanley cup. A team that had not made it out of the first round since 2004 or won a cup since 1967. The Leafs showed their true colors in round 2 dropping both games at home. The home squad was outworked and overmatched. They were not able to compete when push came to shove. the Leafs lack the grit and physicality needed to win in the playoffs. The reality is the Leafs are not built to win during the playoffs, they are a team built for the their regular season antics. I have issues backing the Leafs in the playoff games, as history shows their current management/ownership has issues knowing how to build a competitive team that will excel in the playoffs. If you bet the Leafs during playoffs, do so at your own peril.

I don't disagree with anything you said, starting with them being very fortunate to beat the Lightning, my team. And I didn't pick Toronto to win the Cup, just to win tonight, one game at a time. Alot of sports betting is "situational,"hockey is no different. It's a good situation for the Leafs IMO. The Panthers are at home coming off a road sweep at Toronto and 5 wins in a row. Normally I would ride streaks, different in the playoffs though, playing the same team or teams repeatedly. And the puck can bounce and roll in many different directions, a bit like a fumbled football. Toronto can shoot the puck and Samsonov is more than capable of keeping them in the game. Any bet comes with a certain amount of peril, that's part of the thrill, the excitement, you never know. But my sport bettingguttells me to play the Leafs and I am. GL to you!

1st period , Reminiscent of the Bolts series, Tampa outplayed them it seemed but then look at the scoreboard. Sams looking sharp thankfully. But the 2nd period has been the demise of the Leafs-, 4 goals by Florida.

Picks up a tripping penalty and then causes his goalie’s injury all in one disastrous play. The backup Woll quickly coughed up the tying goal, of course.

One defenseman’s disastrous play deserves another. The Panthers’ Eric Staal just tipped the puck into his own net. Maple Leafs goal credited to Erik Gustafsson.

2 more goals by Florida, just play the 2nd period. Can't fault Woll, great play by Duclair and a fortunate ricochet. Still hate to see Sams out. Florida outplaying em but it is a tie game.
