Very nice read
Bankroll management is very important but if you can"t pick winners, you'll still lose it all.
I've been studying nhl betting for 2 years, doing a few bets here and there, ....not winning much , but at least i'm not losing much either.
If you don't pick winners more than 65% of the time....don't bet
If you only play favorites.....don't bet
If you are broke....don't bet
If you don't feel good.....don't bet
Actually..... gambling is a very dangerous game.....so ....don't bet

If you make a -5 or regulation wager you team has to win in the first 60 minutes. OT doesn't count. That is one of the reasons like the -1 wager so much. It takes the whole game into account so you knock the juice down and can still get a push if your team wins in OT.

Lippsman, I think both the -1 as well as -0.5 regulation -- both of these bets -- are very good to knock the juice down.
Do you think that the -1 bet is much superior to the -0,5? I would be interested in more details as to why you think this, if this is in fact what you think.
Both bets get the juice down which is great if you like a heavy favorite.
If you think that -1 bets are strongly superior to -0.5 regulation bets, in part is this because presumably the better team will have more TIME to show their "True Form" the more game time is played?
Another way to say this is that there is more chance of an upset in 20 minutes than in 60 minutes, or more chance for an upset in 60 minutes than in 65 minutes plus shootout (and also assuming the better team has superior one on one shooters for any possible shootout).
