The only possibility for NE backers was if NE gets the ball first and kicks a fg then on the next possession by Balt they throw a pick 6. then they would win by 9.

If Balty gets the ball first and scores a td it's over.

If Balty gets the ball first and kicks a fg then NE cover is dead.

If NE gets the ball first and scores a td then they win by 6.

If both teams do not score on their opening drive then the most NE could win by is 6 on a td.

Not even close.

50/50 right off the bat with the coin toss. If NE does not get the ball first then the cover is dead.

Then figure out the odds for NE to go the entire field and kick a fg.

Then figure out the odds on a pick 6 for balty.

My guess is less than 1/100 of 1%

The fact is cundiff is not a good field goal kicker, forget about clutch but the guy is like 5 for 19 from 50 plus. If baltimore had a good kicker they would have tried the 51 yard field goal instead of going for it on 4th and 6. If they made it, it would have been an entirely different last 7 min. I agree also that both the coach or the kicker should have realised the play was rushed and called a timeout.
