Excellent post, one of the best i have seen on here in 20 plus years.
I dont know when people on this website and all the other gambling sites finally wake up one day and realize there is no mystery group called the public. They are the frigging public, just like me. For some reason gamblers on forums believe they arent the public. I have wrote about this until am blue in the face and most still dont want to get it.
I have said it a million times, if gamblers want to know who the public is on, write down the team you like to win, then go into the bathroom, look in the mirror and read what you wrote down. You will now know who the public is on. Its all of us
Another mistake gamblers on forums make, is believing that since they see 20 people on the forum, liking one side that means the whole world is on that side, lolll. Not true.
Nutin, once again i enjoyed your post. Nice to see a fellow gambler that gets it.
p.s. another mistake gamblers make, is only looking at teams last games. Teams arent always as good as they looked last game, just like they arent as bad as they looked last game.

This is also very correct.
For example, this is where the 'buy low, sell high' on teams comes from. But, instead, folks tend to think that the trends has to continue with the teams.
The other way of looking at it is that the teams and coaches see the same thing on film that the fans see. Except they see it over and over early in the week.
They know what they did well and what they did poorly that game. They know the team coming up saw it as well and will game-plan to exploit it.
So, it is amazing how often a team will correct a weakness in a game well enough and long enough in a game. They may not be able to do it the entire game or win the game. But it can be enough to cover a 'bad' spread. if folks pick their spots correctly enough this can be profitable on 'bad' teams.
