Season Record 6-7
Ravens Moneyline +120
It is circle the wagons' week in Baltimore and I feel that their starters will elevate their play now that their leader is down. Their 1-3 record is a tough start but they have played the cream of the NFL and have little to show for it except bumps and bruises.
If they lose this game, they face the Rams in week 6 and the prospect of being 1-5 looms large. I think they will play with a sense of desperation/urgency as their season is in peril.
QB Cooper Rush as a 7 year backup for the Dallas Cowboys had a record of 9-5 with 20 TDs and 10 interceptions and a completion percentage of 61%. Rush is 32 and he knows his role but will they miss Lamar's amazing mobility? No question, but I point to the Ravens' generational excellence as this game is a self preservation test. Harbaugh and Zach Orr are on the hot seat for sure and those 4th quarter meltdowns could cost them their jobs at the end of the season.
Am hoping that Dean Pees lends his vast experience as senior D adviser this week to the defensive game plan. The Texans aren't an offensive juggernaut as they have averaged only 16 points per game and have a lowly 29% conversion rate on 3rd downs. The Texans have played a tough schedule themselves: Rams, Bucs, Jags so I respect them but the Ravens still have some of the best skill position players in the league.
Saints -1 1/2
The winless Aints are at home but they have been competitive in their games. No need for their fans to wear paper bags just yet.
The strongest feature of this team is its oline and 2 good running backs and the Giants are susceptible to the run and are being gashed for 153 yards per game so far. Their success on the ground will take a lot of pressure off of Spencer Rattler and get him his first win IMO.
I am a fan of Action Jaxson Dart and I think he might end up an elite QB but this is his first road start and I have read he is a bit banged up from his first start last week. "Whoot there it is!!!" Who dat say they gonna to beat dem Saints???
All the best to the covers' gang and onward to victory!!!
