Detroit -4.5 (sell your barn). Thank me later![]()

The logic behind the bet:
Late Claude Shannon and long live Ed Thorpe using a Markov model:
3 possible outcomes for tonight's game:
Outcome A: The Pistons win and cover the spread. Why? If you recall the games they lost to the Cavs - in all of them the Cavs had "miraculous" runs. Especially the game 4 in Detroit when the Pistons who led by 9 points at the end of the regulation - allowed the Cavs to tie the game up and win in OT. Also, please remember the ridiculous runs the Cavs had with the Pistons not responding. That in my book says - Detroit is toying with its meal. I foresee a blowout game and the Pistons winning and covering. And we are done with this bet and move forward.
Outcome B: The pistons win but do not cover. Although it is hard to imagine how the Cavs will be fouling and the Pistons not scoring in that scenario from a foul line -but, let's say it happens. Against the Knicks we pick the Knicks to cover one of the 4 games. Let me remind you that even the Lakers have covered one of the 4 games against the mighty Thunder (4th). So, even if the Pistons sweep the Knicks - we will get our win quadrupling each bet stake after a loss.
Outcome C: The Cavs win - fade the Cavs from game one against the Knicks under the same remedy as in outcome B continuation sequence - just change the teams.
You see? This bet is a winner even before the game started![]()

@Supporters and seasoned bettors: I am here. I am watching. I am not twitching. I am not worried.
@Worried and complaining ones: If you read the logic behind the bet - you wouldn't be twitching either

Never side with the public when there's only like one event like tonight.
78% of the public was on Detroit according to both Scoreandodds and Actionnetwork. That was a bad omen for the Detroit backers.
I almost bet the Detroit ML until I saw that lopsided bet percentages, so I laid off and saved.
I also have a rule where I never bet a team on the moneyline if the moneyline price on -4.5 spread is NOT OVER -200. It got to -192 and never reached -200.

Too many "nevers". Rookies have those "never" rules. I'm betting for 3 decades now and it is mostly a secondary income. I never bet without a continuation parameter. Public? If you think that you have a reliable source telling you what public bets on and especially how much money is on each side, how the RLMs are created and what is meddling bets initiated by Asian triads and which are not - we all be glad for you top share the source of that info. Otherwise - please don't preach.

Now, this is betting... Unfortunately - bettors like 14allall41, phixer, mkbini, mrbator, sportsmavin etc are all personas non grata here, so...
