an_speak  Lions propose playoff seeding by record,

                     not division winners!

I've been saying this for years!!!!!!

Of course all the Division winners get in along with the wildcards but then the seeding MUST be according to a ranking of records - with the higher ranked always getting the homefield.

Under the LIONS' proposal, the division winner with the conference's best record would still receive the No. 1 overall seed. But after that, teams would be stacked by records, regardless of whether they won their divisions or received wild-card berths.

I hope you realize just how dumb your argument is.  Why have any divisions at all if you are willing to seed wild cards above division winners ;  just have an AFC and an NFC Conference, with no divisions.... that's your ( misguided) argument.

Do you see how silly this sounds ?  And that is why this will never happen  an_light

The Los Angeles Chargers made a similar proposal in 2023, but it did not receive much support.

Owners are scheduled to meet March 30-April 2 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Other club proposals for changes to rules, bylaws and resolutions include:

A previously reported attempt to ban the tush push short-yardage play the Philadelphia Eagles have used in recent years, submitted by the Green Bay Packers. The rule would prevent players from pushing a teammate that is "lined up directly behind the snapper and receives the snap, immediately at the snap."

** A submission from the Eagles to give both teams a guaranteed possession in overtime during the regular season, aligning with current rules for playoff games.

** A resolution from the Pittsburgh Steelers to allows some direct contact between pending free agents and teams that are pursuing them during the three-day negotiating window that precedes the opening of the league year.

This makes perfect sense and should be passed.

    BAN the tush bush!

This one makes the most sense to ban.  It's similar to teams gaining an advantage by elevating themselves on the backs of teammates to block a FG attempt - which is banned.

    @fubah2

The Eagles has perfected a play that is available to all teams. Because, for some unknown reason, other teams can't do it as well.

So lets punish a team that runs a play well.

Philly runs the ball more then any team in 2024. Should we ban the run?

    Sounds like sour grapes.

Agreed!  Not likely.  But sad.  Wilson's 3rd new team after Seahawk glory.

Harbaugh, 62, was entering the final year of a contract that he signed in March 2022. The Ravens have never let him start a regular season on the final year of his contract since he was hired in 2008.
He is the team's all-time winningest head coach with a 185-115 record over 17 seasons.

The new deal keeps Harbaugh under contract with the team through the 2028 season.
