Well, the cats well out of the bag by now that NE is a good team, and despite the Jets winning back to back games the odds makers and most of the public seems to consider them still very bad and with little hope of winning tonight.
But I see some on here, more than I would have thought, think this is going to be close. Just because it's a division game? I don't buy it. One of my most basic tried and true classic angles is just fade the worst team in a division when they play the best team. The 'whipping boy' usually gets whipped worst by the top team. I don't need Xs and Os and who scored what after playing where and blah blah blah.
The Jets aren't gonna win 3 in a row. This is the hottest team in football not the Bengals and Browns. So you're betting they lose and cover? Okay, i could see it. They've only lost twice by big margins.
But I don't really see it. The Pats have the best rush defense in the NFL and the Jets, all they can do is run. Pass game is non-existent. 54 yards last week and most of it on one play. They won because of a kick and punt return they got outgained by over 100 yards by Cleveland and the week before they won by running for over 250 which the Pats would probably take 3 full games to give up going by their average.
Despite their resurgence not being a secret at all at this point the Pats haven't had a chance to show out and show off on national TV and I think they'll take that chance tonight and probably some idiot announcer will start saying hey this kid Maye reminds me of Tom Brady... Certainly the loss of their best corner will give Maye some chances to shine. Gronk will be in the house, too!
