Topic:Over/Under plays.I have a ? on the play itself in sports.
i was recently told that in baseball the O/U play is don @ the end of 9innnings?? I disagreed on this .But,the man said it was the proper way of handling this play.
If it is that way in baseball then why would it differ in f/b ? O/T in f/b is carried with the O/U play & the play is paid accordingly, I recently got info from vegas on this & they say that the baseball O/U play is done when the game is.Is this correct on ALL O/U plays in all sports? THX, HP

I would like a definitive answer to the question of whether you change lines to get equal action (to profit from juice) or change lines based on your winner thoughts or identified sharps plays.

I know the definition of sharp action is the timing of the bet so to speak but my question is how much (dollar $) does a sharp play have to be for you to move a line 1/2 or 1 full point? I always read stuff on Covers that say's we opened the line up at -3 and immediately received sharp action so we moved it up to 3.5 or 4. Well how much was the sharp play you received? You never say was it 5 dimes? 500? 25 dimes? Curious?

(This Q has probably been asked a hundred times before) (sorry)
I know that the money line moves with the amount bet on either side, but I'd like to know what determines the openning line in MLB. I'm sure wieght is given to the better pitcher, etc. - but how specifically. For example, the Cubs are -188 today. How was that number calculated?
