I didn't watch the game (Though went 2-0 unofficially with my picks. My offical bet was Jets +8...) anyways what you said sound about right.

The amount of morons in this thread is hilarious. an_roll_laugh

Mahomes ended the game with that slide. GAME OVER. If he scores, the Jets have a very slim chance to win....bit it has happened before.

It wasn't rigged. You just don't know what you're talking about if you think it was.peace_5

See what you people don't understand is that right before the game Mahomes has his team of investigators check out who Sports Fan 19 and Whodat0921 (just citing them as examples I'm sure his team isn't looking just at them) and then decides how he's going to play the game based on the best way to screw them on their bets (he probably has part of his team scrutinizing the Covers forum just for this purpose).

As I tell people all the time, bitterness is just the echo of your past defeats.   Move on to the next bet

out of curisosity. i'm interested in knowing the consensus here when the rams kicked a meaningless field goal to backdoor the spread when the game was already lost? this was just 2 weeks ago, same season. we're just 1/4 of the season in and this has already happened twice.

eightiron, train, macwestie-I dont get this idea that pro sports is immune from corruption. Would you say that someone who bet on a NBA game that Tim Donaghy was reffing that lost on a total was a conspiracy theorist? Or what about Belichick getting caught filming the other side's practices not once but twice. If you had the other side against the pats would you be just a bitter loser or someone that never had a fair chance to win their bet because he was cheating.  How about the Rams offense in the first superbowl bilicheat won flat out saying the pats knew their plays, made every adjustment to their audibles. 14 point dogs and oh yeah win outright. And this was the superbowl with hundreds of millions of dollars bet on it and still integrity was out the window. I know people want to believe that their sports are pure and these millionaires are above cheating but history doesnt bear that out.

If everything is rigged and you're not looking at ideas from other people to research further on your own, then why are you wasting your valuable time on this forum?  Do you seriously not have anything better to do with your time?

Best of luck in life, enjoy.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but something tells me all the calls the Chiefs got against the Bengals and Eagles was set up for this year with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. if anyone thinks he actually gave her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it is an idiot. Kelce has been Pimping Bud Light, Pfizer and other far left companies. TS is as far left as it gets.  TK liked black girls. I live in KC, this makes absolutely no sense. NFL tweeting Alix Earle?! They are trying to cross collaborate with your girls. They are also making Kelce look like an absolute bitch in the commercials. Pair it with the new “challenge” with females asking their men what they think now that TS finally made TK popular!!! It’s all a fucking sham and if you really think Pat Mahomes throws softballs over the middle with barely any pressure, you don’t watch man Chiefs games.

Aaron Rodgers used to be the poster boy for All State; then they paired him with Mahomes, then it was Mahomes and Ried, now it’s Kelce and Mahomes. A fucking TE?! On a national campaign? When has that ever happened?!

I didn't say games weren't or couldn't be rigged. If/when they are, its most definitely not on MNF.....on the biggest play of the game.... with the super bowl champs playing and Taylor Swift fans watching.....an_roll_laugh

Rigging has to be subtle. A call here or dropped pass there. Its got to influence the game with being super obvious. peace_5

Always respected your thoughts throughout the years but never really post anything…

curious to know what ya think about Mahomes’s 2 bonehead int. He was killing it and then he flat out sucked entirely besides the 4th q runs.  I watch lines/spreads closely, quarters/halves/game…

While technically you are correct, the bigger question is how many NFL QBs actually do what Mahomes did to end the game ?  an_light

I'm guessing low single digits, perhaps none...

John Le Carre used to write spy novels ("TheSpy who Came in from the Cold", "Tinker,Tailor, Soldier, Spy", etc.).   Never read any but I saw the movies.   Anyway Le Carre actually worked in the British Intelligence services for quite a while.    I read an interview with him once that always stuck with me.    His novels tended to involve complicated conspiracys with double and triple agents and secret betrayals that shaped how events happen.    The interviewer asked him that people loved his novels and they loved these conspiracys and did he create them because his experience in the Intelligence Services had taught him that's how things happen in the real world

Le Carre replied, (and I'm paraphrasing this),  " My experience in the real world taught me that 90% of the things that happen in this world happen because somebody fucks something up.   But people don't want to believe that.  They want to believe that someone is in control.   Sometimes there truly are conspiracies  but give me a choice between conspiracy and fuck up and I'm going with fuck up every time."

Most would not, and thats why I said Mahomes is a smart heads up quarterback for doing it. Its called awareness and understanding the situation.

Agreed.... He's wise beyond his years IMO.

People on KC feel screwed because he did something unconventional most QBs wouldn't do ..
