Good evening covers brothers
Looks like we have a Jets game at home on deck tonight in PrimeTime. The Jets are my SB long shot, and make no mistake, they were LUCKY to get a win last week.
They played horrible in the first half. If it wasn’t for Levis boneheaded underhand shuffle, the Jets would have been down two scores to a good Tenn defense. There were a few big key takeaways from that game.
1. injury to Jermaine Johnson, their pro bowl DE and best edge rusher - how will this impact games going forward as the Jets DL was already looking suspect in week 1 against SF
2. The Jets offense showed its flashes of brilliance and potential. There were a few key plays to highlight including the deep pass from Rodgers to Wilson who made an incredible adjustment. There was also the deep pass to Mike Williams that went for 19 yards, Williams jumped over the corner and the ball placement was excellent.
3. The Jets O-line continued to provide Rodgers with excellent protection.
This week, the Jets are in a horrible scheduling spot. Short week at home, but play a Pats team that was a season win total of 4.5 wins before the season started.
A low total laying almost a TD. Meaning points will come at a premium. Pats defense is graded above average I would argue, and if the Jets get off to their predictable run, run, pass on first, second, and third down they will not be able to manufacture points and put together long drives.
The Pats are without two starting offensive lineman and I don’t see how they will pass on this Jets defense and their elite secondary. The game plan for the patriots will be run, run, run, and we will have to see if the jets can stop it. With Johnson, CJ Mosley not playing and Reddick still a hold out, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats put together some long drive running and keep this game slow and ugly, hence the low total.
its tough to lay the 6 here IMO and so the two really best ways to bet this game are Jets in 6 point Wong teasers with Cinn Bengals or Cleveland Browns and the UNDER.
I am on Jets in teasers. BOL.
