However, as to the accuracy of these, I would lean cautious.  There used to be a site that published data from respectable books...Pinny, BetCris and like. SI.  Not sure if still around. But one can use these in confluence with other sentiment,handicapping tools. Imo...

Lastly, notwithstanding the purported accuracy of these, in today's basically NEL( Natl Entertainment League), there often r numerous " factors" beyond our control present.  Which makes this even more challenging. 

no offense but you really have no idea exactly what the money is on either side, nor the side bet money. I would suspect the same is true for ticket count which matters less. 

If real sports books are actually posting these numbers on their actual website or Twitter feeds remains to be seen - and even if yes, are the $$$ really accurate?

From where? And tickets would likely be a better indication as big bets are more likely from smart bettors early

It’s a common opinion that sports books post phony numbers on betting splits. I guess the idea is “why would they tell you where the money is going? They don’t want to help you.”

 I would argue back that a sports book would do anything to increase gambling. If they think that showing the handle on a game increases the amount of gambling, then why wouldn’t they be honest? If I’m a Sportsbook I want the whole world to gamble gamble gamble as much as possible and I have no problem giving you as much information as you need to pull the trigger on a bet.

Tix vs monies?? Don't think so. Seen divergences numerous times which were advantageous to capitalize on. I'll stock with the cash.

 Will do.  As to the long term statistical significance of this approach,unknown, but certainly am inclined to think investing in out of favor dogs has merit. And value.  Moreover, I have found utility in significant positive divergences betw tix and handle. Re.... eg 35 % Tix yet 55 handle. And similar.

VSIN, action network, and even draftkings and fNduel tell u whos betting what. Whether or not you believe it, up to you.

However, most gamblers aren't dedicated and disciplined enough to just bet against the public and sharps, bettors have egos and wanna bet what they think.

Nobody wants to follow a system, even if they say it hits at 60-70 percent, as soon as it loses against what they would have bet, they lose interest.

Bankroll management and following a system are the keys to betting and being successful.

I know a guy who only bets against the heavy handles/bets and he makes hundreds of thousands betting.
