Just finished up an 11-3-1 massacre of the books in my last 2 weeks of CFB netting +96 unit's. Went 1-1 in my first week in NFL hitting the big play. Briefly overlooked the board on countless occasions throughout the week. Time to put in some final studies and try and peg a couple of winners and keep the Train moving....

N.Y. Jets -9 for 20 units... Luke McCown is now enetering his 9th season in the NFL. In those 9 seasons he has started in 19 games. He has only started in 2 games over the last 3 years, yet the Jaguars have handed the keys to the bus over to him. The Jaguars were liking life last week but they should get a big taste of today of why letting David Garrard go was a huge mistake to this season. Asking Luke to win on the road with limited options on offense against one of the leagues most feared defenses at this time could be a big back fire IMO. I will gladly lay the 9 pts with the Jets at home...POD

He has only started in 2 games over the last 3 years, yet the Jaguars have handed the keys to the bus over to him. I'm not sure my brain can formulate an honest play asides the Jets today. I mean of course I lean to the Saints, Ravens, Skins & Buc's. But all of those are all the square side and playing to many plays in the NFL can bury a bankroll. All those thoughts aside I actually think the Lion's have some value laying anywhere from -7.5 to -9. Yeah thats right the freaking LIONS laying almost DD. I mean as nutty as it seems especially coming from a season ticket holder I seriously am starting to think that they may be the only other play with decent value on the board. However it still remains to be seen that the Lions can push through the transition stage of actually being a good team in the NFL. What we do know about this Lions team though is they are no longer a bottom feeder and they have LOTS of weapons not to mention one of the best D-Line's in today's game. If Buffallo and their air attack of talent and speed torched the Cheifs than why can't the Lion's handle their business as well. At least thats the way my head is thinking. In so many years of betting on football I seriously have maybe only made 1 or 2 wagers on the Lions and for good reasons. It may be time Lion's fans, It just may be time. I think iv'e just talked myself into a nice little wager on these boy's today...

Detroit -7 (-140) for 10 units... Here i go with the Lion's to hopefully do as the Bills did to the Cheif's. The juice is heavy but definetly worth it for the all important number of -7 as it was offered @ -7 (-115) @ my book...

Am i sure. Yes, I'm always sure and truthful when talking sports. However that doesn't mean i'm right. That being sad I completely understand the sarcasm that come's along with laying money on the Lion's. The more research i keep doing the better things continue to get as the Lion's have won 9 out of their last 10 games dating back to last season and including this preseason. They covered the spread in all of those games and have also won and covered in their last 5 regular season games. Is this shit really happening in DETROIT. GL NBA Capper...

Who says the jets are one of the most feared defenses? The cowboys abused them all game and if they didnt choke away the game the jets would be 0-1. jets are notorious for not blowing teams out and losing big spreads. Mccown doesnt have to be tom brady he just has to dink and dunk and manage the game. 20-17 jets
