    23-24-2 ytd +2.5 units...

    4-3 POD's +33 units...

So let's see after not having one losing week in NFL week 8 I produced an 0-6 record. How did I follow week up with week's 8 debacle? With another bad week going 5-9-1 losing -82 units. So doing the math Iv'e produced an absolutely horrific 5-15-1 record for weeks 8 & 9. Thought's moving forward? Well basically any time you have a run of that type of nature it clearly states facts relating to not reading these games correctly. The one positive thing the past 2 weeks (if there is any) is that i'm still currently above water and plus money in NFL STILL. So hopefully I can turn this around rather quickly and put together another run like I did through weeks 1 and 7. BOL to all and I'll be back shortly with hopefully some decent info leading to mayne a couple winners...

    1st play is:

Washington@Miami under 38 for 20 units... This play is almost a complete no brainer (so tread lightly). These 2 have played to the under @ a whooping 13-3 this season. Although most may want to react as they seen the Dolphin's finally catching some rhythm after dropping 31 on Kansas City. I'm not in complete agreement of that the Dolphin's took a big enough step to be considered to have such a number repeat itself on the board. Why do I think that way? Well taking a look @ Kansas City and their defense I notice that they are currently ranked 21st in yardage allowed on defense. However that 21st ranked defense of Kansas City has played offenses ranked 12th, 13th, 7th, 18th, 31th, 10th, 7th, 19th. Although it was a bit of a surprise that the Dolphin's were able to put up 31 pt's vs the Chiefs as the leagues 19th ranked offense, 3 of last weeks 4 TD's came with excellent field position as the Dolphin's capitalized on 3 drives from the KC 47, KC 46 & Mia 38. The Dolphin's should not be as fortunate this week as the Redskin's are strolling into town ranked 7 slots better than Kansas City on defense @ 14th and an also similar offense that seems to be struggling ranked 21st. A case can also be made that the Redskins defense which like I said is ranked higher than Kansas City has played some tougher competition to their end result as they have faced  league offenses ranked @ 11th, 25th, 6th, 23rd, 3rd, 5th, 12th, & 26th. The bottom line here is Washington & Miami should gives us nothing to cheer about on offense as these 2 are about as stagnant as offenses get these days in the NFL as both teams average in the mid teens in points scored as Washington comes in at 27th with 15.9ppg and Miami comes in at 25th with 17.2ppg. So as long as these 2 aren't giving each other excellent starting field position during there offensive struggles I see no reason this one shouldn't hoover below this total set @ 38...POD

    2nd play is:

St. Louis +3 for 20 units.... The Rams had absolutely no troubles out gaining the Arizona Cardinals last week as they proceeded to do so 383 yards to 262 yards. They lost the lead late in the game as Arizona tied it with some late heroics from Larry Fitz catching the game tying pass. That was only to be followed by a blocked FG from 42 yards as time expired. It was only fitting that the Rams lost in OT on a punt return. Most people may not see value in the rams but what iv'e noticed so far is not only have the Rams out gained the Cardinals and Saints on offense in the past 2 weeks they also out gained the Super bowl Champions a few weeks back 422 yards to 399 in their loss. With Steven Jackson starting to get his wheels turning gaining over 280 yards on the ground the past 2 weeks and Greg Salas starting to fit in nicely to this offense who has 12 catches for just over 100 yards on 15 targets. That's a nice complement to Brandon Lloyd who should only continue to get better within the offense as time goes on. This Rams offense clearly has weapons when healthy and healthy is exactly what the Cleveland Browns are NOT at this time as they will again be rolling without Peyton Hillis & Montario Hardesty. This absolutely atrocious offense of the Browns ranks dead last in the NFL with an average of 3.12 yards per play. This Cleveland offense rarely see's their opponent's side of the field let alone a trip into the red zone. As a matter of fact the Browns offense have seen the Red Zone just 4 times in their past 3 games and one of those was Seattle turning the ball over on downs in the 4th qtr at the end of the game because they failed to convert. The Brown's have also failed to come up with any point's in any of those trips to the Red Zone. So let me see here, the Brown's can't make it to the Red Zone and when they do they can't score. This is just a flat out bad football team here and frankly having them favored against anyone in the NFL is a mistake. Sign me up for the Rams catching a FG to be huge value here in this spot. These Rams are better than meets the eye...

So much for him being a healthy boost on offense today.

This is a result of too many hours on the job...

Also just to note the reason i failed to forget that he got injured in that Arizona game was because during my research on this play it was hard not to notice him continually showing up in the box scores. I believe Mak Clayton is gonna be back today for the Rams as well. But i did want to touch on Salas being an important part on a play like this as his production although minor was turning out to be a very important part in their attempts to move the ball. The man has always had one excellent pair of hands. Just ask Hawaii and Bryant Moniz how much they miss him this year. Same can be said for San Diego st and Vincent Brown & Demarco Sampson after they both left the Aztecs for the NFL. Those 2 college teams are just 7-12ats this season without those important WR's this year as the books have failed to get number's on those games correct at a consistent rate. I truly believe that can be traced back to the loss of these important WR's.

In my research done involving that play. Not one time did I even ask myself who would be Quarterbacking for the Washington Redskins. So when I do finally take a look at the QB stats that both have produced this season or even beyond this season for that matter, you will see that John Beck & Rex Grossman pretty much have had no effect on their ability to move the ball one way or the other. Grossman actually is completing passes at a lessor % so far this season than Beck but I really see no need to worry about who is playing QB today for the Skins. If Grossman throws for 200+ yards today I would be shocked. I would say the same for Beck...

Any 5-15 slump could be good enough to bury most people. It's a good things these things don't happen often because if they did I wouldn't spend so much time doing this. 18-9 and up nearly almost 200 units seems like a long time ago real fast when these things happen. One can only hope that variance comes back into play today and gets the ship back on track...BOL
