Indie provides him with a better coaching staff and a better offensive line, though.
The impact from coaching staff at an age of 38 is very low imho. Offensive line will be better, but I can't see why that provides Philip an advantage over Brisett. I think it's just a slight/small upgrade overall.

Football Outsiders has Rivers ranked all the way down at #24 in the 2019 QBR ratings and he isn't getting any younger. Even if the 2020 NFL season is begun, I don't foresee it being completed as COVID-19 cases explode this autumn. Rivers will be even older next year.

I agree with lance and maxwagers.. Rivers will have a bounce back year this season playing behind a top 3 Oline, they will have a great running game with Jonathan Taylor which will take pressure of Rivers.
I really like what they did in free agency and the draft, adding deforest buckner, Michael Pittman, Jonathan Taylor, and Julian Blackmon will be huge for this team on both sides of the ball.

Rivers will still be taking shots downfield. Ranked 4th last season in pass yds with 4615 yds. there are options on this team. The two rookies could be sneaky plays for ROY.
The other one..... joe burrows in cinci should be the favorite. Chase will be the favorite defensive player to win.

Seahawks have upside on offense. DK Metcalf looks to be a huge difference maker for them. On the defense, rookie LB can make an impact, and now Jamal Adams in the backend can keep opponents in check.

my top 4 teams to make the conference finals this year:
Chiefs
Ravens
Buccaneers
Seahawks
think Ravens, Bucs, Seahawks did everything right in the offseason to get better and challenge the Chiefs for the Lombardi. Meanwhile i dont see Packers & 49ers doing enough in the offseason to improve their roster theyre essentially the same team as last year. they should still be good teams but competition is gonna get stiffer now. i got Vikings & Seahawks winning the division this time.

Indy is gonna be one of the surprise teams this year. Philip Rivers will have a bounce back year & be in running for comeback player. i think they will win the AFCSouth. Indy and Pitt are darkhorse wildcard contenders imo

Bills could be nice long shot play if Allen takes the next leap going into critical 3rd year. They played the Ravens tight last year and could have won if Allen was better. Plus they should have won that wild card game against Houston.
Team around him looks to be super bowl caliber with strong defense. Diggs is the #1 they have been missing so will be important to see how the chemistry is between those two this year.

still think its gonna come down to those final 4 teams but so far ive been a bit wrong about 49ers and Packers early on. totally off on Vikings but that was before Danielle Hunter got hurt to IR and when they traded for Yannick.

josh allen looks like he got it going on this year. they're having no problems clicking on offense right now and its got them in the top 3 in scoring so far.

Bills have finally joined the darkhorse group along with Colts, Steelers & Pats. The knock on the Bills was that they couldnt beat a team with a winning record. they almost blew the game again against those kind of teams but they finally held their ground. statement win by the Bills

i got a strong lean to bills for a darkhorse. they have it all altogether but have to get through the ravens. if they get there and meet the ravens in the afc conf champ, i'd still go with ravens. i'd still double down on the ravens after tonight.

i wish the seahawks weren't going through the injuries with jamal adams and chris carson. imo they still don't have the defense to compete.
