yes in a blue moon you'll have a Donaughy or some college kids from a small school on the take, but the repurcussions are severe its not worth it if you get caught.

In proessional American sports to assume that games are fixed because you perceive something as fishy because you were on the losing side makes you an idiot.

Actually Its more preposterous and retarded to think its not fixed.
Especially with everything available online about alleged fixes and proven facts about a few that actually took place.

People who come down on those who believe the games arent what they appear to be do not want to admit that there beloved sport is tainted, well boo fucking hoo, get a grip on reality, Its not about you or what you want, as the cliche goes that these dumb ass athletes use all the time
    IT IS WHAT IT IS
So accept it or continue to live your life with blinders on, the choice is yours but watch your mouth when you try and tell people what they should or shouldnt think regarding any matter especially one that has been proven on many levels.
We are not here to satisfy your need for a fair and square game, thats little league son.

And thats what the game is about, Being on the right side of the fix.
Thats why I and others like me still bet to be on the right side of the fix, that doesnt mean we dismiss it as if it doesnt exist or chastise those of us who arent sheep.

Fuckkin games are fixed and it so obvious. Its just entertainment and it always comes down to the money.. always.
Thats why Seattle gets the call for TD and the books collect millions off GreenBay wagers.  We all saw that interception.
Ur really blind and just dont want to admit games can and are fixed.. but I will say it again- it comes down to the Money

Many of them get caught and/or get away with this kind of stuff all the time. If they will risk their careers by the partaking in any of the aforementioned with all except for selling drugs having only risk with no monetary reward, then why is it crazy to think they would risk it for very high reward with very little risk of getting caught? Money only makes you want more money. It is also way easier to drop a sure touchdown in the end zone without suspicion, then it is to convince a jury the guns and blow found in your car when you got pulled over driving around drunk with a prostitute in your were found on the street and you were just driving them to the police station to turn it all on.

In a nutshell you're giving them WAY too much credit. Not saying it happens or not but saying they would not risk it for large coin is crazy.

If it does happen though it is the league itself orchestrating it just as it happened/happens in the NBA. When a billion dollar t.v market starts losing interest because there team/s suck then there are billions of reasons for these leagues to orchestrate peoples happiness in different regions.

    Great post.

I didn't bet on the MNF game.

You can't allow a good football team in the Houston Texans hammer the shit out of an understrength (and bad) team in the NY Jets in that Prime Time spot.

If Houston leads 24-7 at halftime then scores first in the second half...no one watches the game......except the gamblers......wait a second......ratings and bets in the balance

Tim Donaghy an NBA referee was caught fixing games.

in 1999 there was a U of M blind study of College football referees that admitted they had a financial interest on games they worked, and no Im not gonna look it up for you as if you are dumb enough to believe its all on the up and up, You do not deserve someone to do the work for you, Go fucking do it yourself and become less of a sheep and a little bit more of a wolf.

Man, I wish it was that easy.  We all do.

There's proof.  There's admission.  There's evidence, etc.......  so the fact that some sports events are influenced by someone/something other than the actual participants, is no longer debatable.  It is what it is.

The problem we as gamblers have is spotting them.  Most of the time, it's almost impossible to detect before the game.  That's why Vegas wins in the long run.  To think that they don't control the outcome of certain games is just plain delusional.   There is no way that their investment is going to be left to chance.  No way!

The Green Bay at Seattle game on MNF.  The Green bay touchdown drive in the 4th quater that gave the Packer the lead in the game was kept alive by 4 penalties on Seattle.  2 of which were PI.  This is with 6 minutes left in the game.

If I were a ref being paid by the mob to make sure Green Bay covers, Why in the Fuck would keep their 4th quater drive alive, just to hope that Russell Wilson can get the ball back, get 5 first downs (which he couldn't do all game) drive down the field and get close enough to throw a hail mary, then hope it is caught by two people with time expiring so I can make a bad call against Green Bay to make up for the Bad calls against Seattle.  Wouldn't I have just stalled the Packers previous drive, so that I wouldn't have to put myself in position to hope for a hail mary simultanous catch in the end zone!  Give me a fuckin break, That is a terrible way to fix a game.

Why do you assume that, that game was influenced by the NFL?

To me, that was just poor reffing, or a ref being on the take knowing his days as and NFL ref were numbered.  A very nice opportunity for the guy to make a little extra money.

Remember, not every game is influenced by others.  Just the ones that they need to be.  You can't fix every game.  Just just unrealistic!

    Here's 3 games to consider.

Last year right after Al Davis died The Raiders won the game on a last second TD over Houston - then proceeded to lose 8 games in a row

Last weekend Colt's coach was diagnosed with Leukemia.

The Packers were ahead 21-3 The Colts come back and beat them .??????

    Super Bowl III

Jets and Namath over The undefeated Colt's which put the AFL on the Map.

In case you are to young to remember

Gotta agree w/ Sharps. As I said earlier, commisioners will exert their influence, Tim Donaghees (sp.) will come & go... it's naive to think that EVERYTHING is on the up-and-up, but it's even more ridiculous to believe that there's a widespread network of multi-millionaire athletes actively fixing pro sports on a regular basis and that NONE of them snitch! Ray Lewis ratted out his own "boys" for murder, Canseco ratted on PED's, Jamal Lewis, Nate Newton & Bam Morris, etc. all got caught selling drugs. Vick can't get away w/ dog fighting, for Christ's sake! To think that these criminal masterminds are out there fixing games on the reg under an iron-clad Omerta is LOL funny.

I don't assume this game was influenced by the nfl.  I am just using this game as a case in point of why games aren't fixed.  I used this game because i remember everyone the Tuesday after crying fix fix.  Please don't cry fix when you make some square ass public consensus bet on the favorite during a prime t,e game

The rules of all those games are set up for you to lose, it's not the same thing at all. Just another horrible comparison from an uneducated person who thinks all the leagues are rigged. The intelligence level of all you people is just so pathetic

You also never answered my question.

I'm guessing you don't card or machine gamble since you are too smart to play those knowing it's fixed.

Or do you still gamble thinking that you might be the lucky one that day?

Oh gosh, almost sounds like most of us sport bettors.  Gamblers are such an optimistic bunch only when it comes to gambling.
