For me this game is simple. Until the Niners prove they can win up in Seattle, my money is with the Seahawks. I don't think Kaepernick is mentally sharp enough to handle that insane environment and stay calm, making the proper plays, adjustments.  He can't read defenses and he wilts inside hostile enviroments.

He's gotten completely rattled both times he's played in Seattle.

Look at his numbers from the last game up there:
    Colin Kaepernick: 13-28, 127 yards, 3 ints, 0 TDs

And this was after lighting up Green Bay the week before!

Same with Boldin. He went for over 200 yards against GB, the next week against Seattle I think he had 1 catch for 8 yards. Sherman completely locked him up.

Wilson on the other hand is a very intelligent game manager and just wins. 14-1 record playing at home. 14-1? His only loss was an almost meaningless end of season game to Arizona (they won it on a last minute comeback drive).

I mean Drew Brees just said it's "one of the toughest places to win". This is a future hall-of-famer who throws over 4,000 every year! They shut him out for 3.5 quarters, think he only had 40 yards at half-time.

I just don't see how Kaepernick can get it done against that secondary.

People were all going crazy on this board that the Saints would win this past weekend. "It's different this time, they will be prepared!" No it wasn't.

    BOL EVERYONE.

Agree with you completely vanhawk until they can prove it Seattle remains the right side for the ML. However getting three or four points with a solid team like the niners is a smart investment as well....And wow did not know that about controlling the tickets. Seriously leaning Seahawks now jeeez....this game is a coinflip...that's what spreads are just a coinflip...best to be safe with the ML or take the points...we can be here all day arguing on what's the best smart side to be on.

Just don't see it any other way Seahawks ML the home team all the way. Heart says seahawks....brain says Niners. But if someone put a gun to my head would say Seahawks...Niners have had their time to shine in the spotlight in last years Superbowl time for them to step a side

SEEEAAAAHAWWWWWKSSSSSSSSSS LETSSS GOOO it's gunna be sleepless in seattle after they win the Superbowl this year but regardless whoever comes out of this game niners or seahawks that team will win the SB. Pats broncos no way calling it now defence wins championships and niners can say defence travels but whatever

and if ur a niners fan you gotta have some serious BALLS to go to century link field this sunday. Gunna be a very hostile crowd. this game reminds of the last time seahawks were in this game vs the cowboys in 2005 and the infamous botched snap.

Kaepernick is gunna botch the snap and fumble turnovers will win the game.

i agree casino, whoever wins this  game will win superbowl no doubt, but i think SF will not let this year slip away, Seattle plays great ball but i think they peaked to early in season and SF peaking now should be great game but i think SF walks out of seattle with the win, GL

Give the edge to Seattle's Defence obviously at home and both offence's are mirror images of each other only thing niners have more star players and their O line is healthy now

This game will be won in the trenches whoever runs the ball better wins and like you said Fence turnovers will be the key to victory and also special teams and field position time of possession.

As far as a wagering stand point why not hook the niners to +4.5 if it's your biggest play incase of a 21-17 or 24-20 which is a key number and very likely?

It's Very possible niners lose but cover or push the three or four points

There's an ESPN insider article by KC Joyner, using advanced metrics and stats shows that the Niners have arguably THE BEST 1-2-3 pass catchers in the league in Crabtree, Boldin, and Davis. Obviously superior to Tate, Rice, and Miller.  The "catch" here is that Seattle's DB's are tougher...

On TV Bruschi was saying that they play press coverage and jump everything, because they know that because of the crowd noise their D-Line has that extra split second advantage to get pressure on the QB.  Breaking it down, Bruschi and other Sharper (I think) said if Kap can escape pressure and extend plays with his legs, it can allow the play to break down and his receivers to get behind the secondary for big pass plays.  It all depends on how well Seattle contains Kap (ends hold containment, Spy, etc).  I fully expect SF to try to gameplan against the aggression of Seattle's D - maybe some screens and rub routes...if they can get the running game going then play-action...

Harbaugh and staff always have some wrinkle or trick up their sleeve...for instance the goal-line defense alignment against Carolina was a look they didn't show before and saved for a big game...I expect them to run plays out of formations and looks they haven't shown before, or have shown and run something totally different...

Here's the stat I keep coming back to. The Niners have zero, that's none, zilch, nada, not a single *meaningful* TD in their last two games in CenturyLink. This is despite getting good field position on blocked punts and so on. Nothing in two trips to Seattle but three field goals and a junk TD with a minute left in the game and the score 42-6.

So they're better at home, right? Not really. Even though they won both home games, they still only scored two TDs in those games. So that's two meaningful TDs in four games for the Niners, at CenturyLink and the Stick.

If you want to throw your money on that, go ahead. But if the Hawks score 21 points, SF is going to need 6 or 7 scoring drives to win the game. And that mean three punts would doom them.

    We'll see what happens. BOL.

I don't think Kaepernick is mentally sharp enough to handle that insane environment and stay calm, making the proper plays, adjustments.  He can't read defenses and he wilts inside hostile enviroments.

He's gotten completely rattled both times he's played in Seattle.

Can't blame 9ers backers for taking the 3.5 ...........it'll likely come down to TO's. Seattle has the ability to limit kap's passing via coverage & the LB speed to chase him down when he runs........SF has the ability to shut down Lynch, but their 2ndary is very suspect........however Seattle doesn't have the type of WR's to exploit that as much as other teams may.

     I got Seattle -3 & under 39.5 ........1 unit each.
