No offense but I don't miss him at all. I think he would have a good year more than likely, but the same scenario would have played out: Brady, Brees, and Rodgers have a better year, but Manning walks away with the MVP because his name is Manning. And then he's named first team All-Pro in front of all of them, and he gets the start in the Pro-Bowl, also undeserved. And then he loses in the first round of the playoffs because of the three pics he throws.

I beg to differ. I don't think it's ignorant at all because I think there are plenty of players of there that are better and even more fun to watch. And they don't point their fingers at their teammates when things don't go as planned. The league is no worse off without him, and he is not bigger than the game. It will be just fine without him. 
I just don't miss him, and I've been watching this game for 35 years. It's not too often that I see a QB fall down on purpose because there is a D lineman about five feet away from him. Well, I've never seen it until I watched Manning. The media hypes him up as God and I'm just tired of it. His postseason performances are horrible, and he's a choke artist. Just my opinion.

That makes as much sense as if I were to say that Jamaal Charles should be the MVP. Look at how the Chiefs did last year with him when he set an NFL record for ypc. They went 10-6 and this year without him they might go 6-10. He has 499 career attempts and is averaging 6.1 yards per carry. This is nothing short of phenominal. I think he should be the MVP.

SteelCash i dunno man the guy is in the top 5 for sure and top 3 imo for top qbz in the league. i love watching the surgeon as a fan of the game. if you don't like e'm for whatever reason, that's your opinion. i think he's one of the best. can't think of too many guy's that run a 4th qr 2 min offence better than him.

I know many people disagree, but that's just me. It's a good debate though. I just really don't have faith in him in the postseason based on past results.

Listen buddy Im sorry wasn't trying to be rude in my last post as I do respect YOUR opinion. But as far as the 2 minute drill and the most 4th quarter comebacks, maybe youve been misinformed because it's not even close. Peyton is the most clutch ever, hands down.

The Chiefs weren't eliminated from the playoffs until late in the season - the Colts didn't even win a game until week 15. To say that each player has the same value to their team is ridiculous. When a team is a perenial playoff team and superbowl contender with a player and the worst team in the league without him, he is the most valuable to his team.

12-30-2000... Miami (11-5) beats Indy (10-6) 23-17 in the wildcard round. Peyton goes 17 for 32 (ouch) for 194 yds... one TD, zero picks for a QB rating of 82.0. Colts score one TD. Stellar!
1-4-2003... The NY Jets (9-7) beat Indy (10-6) 41-0 in the wildcard playoff round. Peyton goes 14-31 for 137 yds... zero TD's and two picks for a QB rating of 31.25 (ouch). Another stellar performance!

Overall though, a good performance with good numbers in a losing effort.

That pick (returned for a TD) came late in the game and essentially ended any hopes of his team winning this one. And the truth is, Reggie Wayne did absolutely nothing wrong on that play. He ran five yards and turned around. That's all he did. He ran his route correctly (they run this play all the time... Manning and Wayne both know what they are supposed to do). I've watched the play over a dozen times. By the time he turned around, the ball was there and thrown too far to the inside. Meanwhile, Austin Collie was running across the middle wide open. But Peyton didn't see him because HE WAS STARING DOWN REGGIE WAYNE THE ENTIRE TIME. Peyton played well, but made a HUGE mistake at the end that put an abrupt halt to his team having any chance of winning. Super Bowl loss.
