Going KC +3 Over 40 (bought points)
It scares me because KC put up so many points last week (though it was mostly their defense scoring) and San Diego is coming off a loss.
However, San Diego is on its 3rd road game in a row and play the Packers next week. KC is at home and play Miami at home the next week. Mike Tolbert is out and Ryan Matthews is banged up. I think KC discovers the weapon they have in Jon Baldwin but Chargers inch by 23-21 in a come back win.

Your logic and point elude me.
Let's look at the other side of your coin. SD beat a McNabb-led Vikes team at home, KC by 3 at home, Miami (still winless) at home, and a poor Denver team on the road. Oh, and they are a whopping 2-4 ATS. Very unimpressive.
You want to point the finger at KC for only beating weak teams? Take a good look at your darling Chargers. At least KC is 4-2 ATS!
How you can conclude that SD is "the right side" when you only looked at 1/2 of your own argument is laughable.

3rd Road Game in a row. That's a powerful system pick....for KC!
Go against the team on their 3rd straight road game.....
Also, wouldn't anyone be tempted to look ahead a bit having to face the Packers in their next game? Not saying they will, but.......

Knowing the super bowl champs are well rested & will pimp smack them? Um....I dont think so.........did the Steelers look ahead when they flew out to Arizona knowing they had the Patriots & Ravens waiting for them?

I'm on KC as well, but personally I don't think SD on their 3rd roadie in a row or playing the Packers will have anything to do with it. Inter-division and Monday Night Football trump both of those let down possibilities.

Seriously? You honestly believe that the Chargers KNOW they will be crushed by GB? I honestly believe they think they CAN win that game! These guys are professionals. They game plan and work hard NOT because they think they will lose! That is a ridiculous statement PTB.
By the way, I downplayed (note my choice of wordage: "tempted") the look ahead idea when I complimented that poster, and highlighted the 3rd Road Team angle. Thought that was pretty obvious. Why you chose to jump on that is curious.
PTB, I KNOW you are a STAT/TREND GUY through and through, and that is NOT a knock. Tell me how it comes about that you completely ignore the 3rd Road Game angle?
How about Home Dog Divisional Rival, that's a pretty powerful + trend for KC too.
Maybe you just pay attention to stats/trends when they favor your pick?

Thanks Tom.........you make valid points above but that 3rd road game in a row losing streak of 4 teams that have fell into it this season will break up tonight.
Here is a trend: The Chargers are 8-2 ATS past 10 years in their 2nd week after the bye. Chargers are 4-0 ATS in the 2nd week after the bye if they didnt cover the week after the bye.
Chiefs are 1-9 ATS off a division game & back to back SU wins vs .500 or better division opponent.
Everyone has an opinion tho..............I also said I wouldnt post anymore if the Chargers didnt win by 3 or more & I keep my promises but I will be back tomorrow because the Chargers will cover..............
