As to the topic raised in your kind comment:
    1. I never mentioned any names of the sites.
    2. For the third time personally to you - I said to treat those numbers with limited liability.
    3. When the line moves in opposite direction of the money - that's called RLM (reverse line movement) and is usually initiated by the books to balance their bets with driving the public to conclude certain conclusions favorable for the books balancing cause.

Now, if you'd spend more time capping than all the time looking as to how to find other people's flows - you might (have) achieve something in your life. Otherwise, regretfully - your life will be a waste. If you think that people are belittled only because you can call them rookies while boasting your status of Veteran - I want you to know that many Veterans are shamed to carry the same status and title as yourself. I really wish you'd find enough courage to deal with your problems in a brave and productive way so you and all who are dear to you and you are dear tothem could benefit from your transformation from a person whon is always searching for ugly into the person who enjoys the beauty. Let that be your new years resolution. Again - bets wishes and a Happy New Year!!!

first off you did say it was SBR forum you were using and when they post bogus numbers, sites like that are totally useless.

They had vandy at like 400k and 0 dollars on nc st, yes thats real believable

before you start giving advice to other gamblers, you want to actually know what your talking about.

all i have said to you was that those consensus sites are all phony and yet you keep saying, to just use them as a tool. You cant use something as a tool, when the info being posted is phony and made up.

and your never gonna be able to know what a true reverse line move play is, unless you know people working with the numbers in the sportsbooks.  Anybody that believes the books are going to post their numbers online, so bettors can beat them out of their money, should quit gambling today

    good luck to you

Hey buddy - you're entitled to your opinion. I also hope there is a record somewhere along that opinion of yours. As to the info available or the way I cap. My record is right here - in this thread - and it's 5-1. Now with that said - this thread is not neither about my record or about some new world wide discovery of how to beat the books. It is about the winning with the books and doing it in a most effective way using all the tools available to do it. But most importantly staying positive, collaborating with each other in a respectful way and staying disciplined with your bankroll. Knowing what days of the week work which way and sharing the acquired knowledge with each other. Now, there are colleges and universities all over the world. It does not mean each and every person attends them. But it certainly means that those who do have a better shot in reaching the professionals goals they set themselves before entering the curriculum. You can either learn what is offered to you or disregard and say that many stupid people go to college too, so why should you bother. Lazy person can always find a justification to hos laziness as the stupid person always can find the reasons and justifications to his stupidity by convincing himself that he is the only one right and everybody else is dumb. Or, we can all acknowledge that there is always something we can learn as long as we live and there are always ways to make ourselves better in our own eyes and by our own understanding. I have this thread and enjoy every post in it as I feel that I can better my ways of sports handicapping better and even improve someone elses. If you feel that you already know everything and the only reason to visit threads is to police by your own made rules who is worthy of your applauds and who is not - that's your business. Me, I could not care less you like my thread or not. I could not care less if you approve some of the info I give or not. I am happy with what I am doing and fully contempt with the feedbacks here. The rest is up to you. My good wishes to you are true and again I wish you a Happy New year

and your never gonna be able to know what a true reverse line move play is, unless you know people working with the numbers in the sportsbooks.

Please stop with all the mumbo jumbo crap.  Only reason i posted in this thread, is because you came off as some betting guru and you were gonna help all of us win money every month, because you are smart and the rest os us are all dumb. Everything you posted in this thread, any person that gambles should already basically know.  You can get what you posted out of any book written about gambling.

But the part that really pissed me off, is the fact that you keep saying to use the consensus sites as a tool.  That is just plain bad advice and thats why i posted in thread.  I dont want to see new gamblers getting bad advice.

All of those consensus sites are all garbage with phony made up numbers and like i said before, if you think that any sportsbook in the world is gonna provide info to gamblers to help them win money, then you should quit gambling today, because you stand zero chance of ever winning.

I have read this thread a few times and am still trying to figure out what exactly have you posted that is gonna make a person have a steady income gambling every month.

    Final:
    WASHINGTON Redskins  +3  (-120)  120$

This matchup favors the Skins. If the game was in Seattle - I might have taken a different approach. But this particular game is going the Skins' way. RG3 and Wilson have lot in common. They're both mobile and have a strong arm. But that is where it stops. RG3 is way more creative kind of a QB. He is an NFL darling and Seattle knows that after getting a preferable treatment throughout the whole season - it will be no more. The Skins will practice whole week against the Seahawks alike offense and the Seahawks will do the same, but the edge of creativeness is important and that is something you can't practice against. Seattle defense that has been solid this season - will not contain healthier RG3 and healthier he will get as he young and full of motivation.

The douche above me probably played couple of your picks that lost in the short term. Just show him what long term winning is about and no need to further comment on ridiculous posts like this. Good luck in the new year!

Just got through all the ten pages now and wanted to drop in to wish you a Happy New Year SportsMavin. Appreciate the clear and thorough write-ups you've been providing to the forum. Your well-reasoned responses to the doubters and haters reflect their personal insecurities and prove that they can go to school but they can't buy class.

This is one of the more entertaining threads I've seen on Covers. I really appreciate the civilized tone, and the way you carry yourself in the face of the inevitable haters. As for the subject of the thread: "How to Create Steady Monthly Income from Betting on Sports" to me the answer is obvious--become a bookmaker! In the end, the house always wins. Just keep your sides balanced, and you make 10% all day, every day. (Probably tax free, but that's another issue.)
I love that you have been hitting your picks, and may follow you into the wild card weekend, but too many times I've seen these threads flame out when the losses mount. The problem is older than the Bible. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Happy New Year, Good Luck, and God Bless!

Hey Mavin your threads are a good read and very helpfull to someone who has been betting for a few years but I do it just as a form of entertainment placing small bets to increase excitement in the games. I have had a different perspective after reading these threads but just thought maybe you should stop responding to the haters, maybe they will piss off. Much appreciated, well written. good luck and happy new year.

Mavin what are your thoughts on Colts +6.5 against the Ravens. I see the ravens are now a not so solid team and the colts pretty motivated to win. I will also consider the moneyline with some value there

    Hi Mavin!
I´m following your NBA thread and find about this one.

I tease the teams you pick
    Texans +3
    Packers -0.5
    Redskins +10

But I´m not so sure about the Ravens tough team at home, Colts don´t play well on the road but they are motivated by Pagano.
I think it´s important to known if Suggs and Lewis play on Sunday.
Lewis announced that he will retire after the end of the season so there is some motivation for the Ravens and I think he will play on Sunday, Luck rookie QB.
A lot of things in my head with this game.
