In that drive they went for it 2x on 4th down, the first time there was about 8min left in game, But 5min and 3 time outs might see the ball twice

Was that the one where Seattle jumped offsides and Rams got a first down via penalty?
The FG try would of been about 45 yards from there. He could of kicked it I suppose. Without the penalty the Hawks stopped Blake Corrum. I can't remember if Stafford got him with a hard count or not

I still think that Sean Payton not kicking a FG was more egregious. Just cause it was a different type of game. The Hawks were moving the ball at will, where the Patriots were not.
I'm not defending McVay, I've been pro FG, especially in the playoffs. But I can see where he was coming from in "that type" of game.

You go for 7 there IMO. 5 min left. They almost didnt see the ball back as it was and when they did it was 25 sec with no timeouts. 4 yards to go to the Super Bowl or kick and still be down. I'm sure the numbers would back it up. You can Mon morning QB it all ya want.

@buckubad
I agree. As much as I wanted to cover the point spread, going for it right there was the right coaching decision. Running back was gonna be open but Seahawks luckily double teamed him

@kevin23_11
Yea I think they should've gone for 2 after scoring a td but I also could see why they chose not to because their defense was giving up yardage and McVay probably figured if they hold them to a fg being down 4, then after the fg they would be down 7. But yea I think going for 2 would be a better decision
