4th and 4 and they don’t kick a fg to be down 1 changes the whole way plays are called could of been a different outcome, everyone talks about mcvay being a great coach but he burned the first time out too early and ultimately screwed them.

He cost Rams 1h as well. 1:30 to go up 3 and doesn't kill much time off the clock with incomplete pass plays. Gives the ball back to Seahawks who march down in 30 seconds to score a TD right before halftime.
After the rams scored the TD towards end of 3q, he decides to not go for 2 points which would cut the lead to 3.
Then with 5 minutes to go and ALL timeouts left, he doesn't kick the field goal on 4th and 4 when the Rams didn't even pick up 1yard on second and third down.
This guy purposely cost the Rams 1h and full game cover ![]()

Everything you say is well said. I have been watching this game for a long time. I’m 68 years old. I’ve been betting since I was 17. I have never seen more disgusting, stupid, and ridiculous as to what I see now. I guess Mike Vrabel had the smarts to actually kick a field goal and as it turned out, it won the game. It’s amazing how none of these announcers call these goofy moves out on these stupid coaches. That’s right stupid coaches. Kick the damn field goal, keep the momentum and exactly what you said. There’s at least five minutes left in the game and all you need is a field goal to win the game common sense right.

Sean McVay and Sean Payton are always the smartest guys on the field. Both made stupid decisions and will he watching the super bowl from home again.

Actually, Vrabel went for it on 4th and 1 and got lucky to get a favourable spot when Maye snuck it.

Good chance if you kick the fg, you never see the ball again the way the defense played most of the game. I wouldn't have blamed him if they kicked, but wasn't exactly pissed that he didn't.

You can't blame him for going for it there on 4th down. Kicking a fg, they still gotta get the ball back and that's never guaranteed. They were driving with Stafford looking like the mvp but that defense stopped them. Only people who wanted Rams to kick a fg there were those with Rams+points which included me. But going for it was the right call to win the game

That was a massive swing. I’d argue that McVay’s clock management at the end of the 1H was more impactful. Worst case, you go into the half up 4. Instead, they burned no clock and gave the ball back, and gave up a TD. Literally the worst possible outcome when it shouldn’t have been fathomable.

kick the fg momentum is on Rams side they didn't get it momentum Seattle.
LA D was playing decent in the 2H then this happened and ruin the momentum
Sometimes the coaches over thinks too much, if it was 20 years ago the fg team will be coming out without hesitation.

Because of analytics, Mcvay did the same crap in the game vs SF that was in OT, instead of kicking game tying FG went for it and lost the game if they would have tied they woulda had home field for playoffs, Mac jones was hurt at end of game and wasn’t sure he would come back but Mcvay still made bad play calls

Keep in mind these coaches eat sleep and breath football and still make elementary mistakes, both Sea and Pats coaches play conservative and take points and look they in the SB

8 min left you def seeing the ball again, plus it’s a 1 point game so you could even let sea score a TD so you have chance for TD and 2pt, but they went for it 2x on 4th down

Truth be told… McKay is only in this position because of his family relations…. No other reason… how did he become football genius…. Who deemed him such…. You are going to get better at something if you are passionate about it and do it for 20 years…. That’s just how it goes…. Sean Peyton … goodness… you are the home team…. Your weather guy didn’t let ya know potential snow at halftime…. And you chose to pass on going up 2 scores in the first half…. Really…. That to me is a fireable offense… that is Tim Walz stupid…. 2 scores is waay tougher than one… because you hopefully learned something when they did it the first time…..I know… can’t fire a guy over one mistake…. He’s been in the game awhile… why would you want the guy that made that decision back…. I’ll do better next time… … ok… that’s good enough for us coach…. give you a 2 million dollar raise and see ya at spring practice coach…. Yep…yep… oh coach… in between now and then… go back and replay some of your past games… and see if ya might decide differently on some of those decisions…..my 2 cents. Maybe 3 cents here.
