BigPell, the main point is...Sam Darnold's quarterback experience.  I didn't even mention his other achievements, such as a 20-4 college record as a starter. And the great comeback win in the 2017 Rose Bowl, and winning the PAC-12 championship that year.

Seattle has not won a Super Bowl while wearing dark blue uniforms. The Seahawks have appeared in three Super Bowls, and in both instances where they wore their primary dark jerseys (Super Bowl XL and Super Bowl XLIX), they lost. In Super Bowl XL, they wore the older "Seahawks Blue," and in Super Bowl XLIX, they donned navy blue. Their only Super Bowl victory came in Super Bowl XLVIII, where they wore their white uniforms.
