I want to thank everyone for their kind words and best wishes. Very uplifting, thank you.
A short story...Last August, I suggested that my granddaughter join an NFL survivor contest. It was a modest competition, featuring about 40 participants and four payout spots, and a team could only be used once. First place paid 2,000. She is in her twenties and knows very little about football, is not interested, and doesn't care to watch it on TV. Guess what? She won first place! What's even more remarkable, she did not lose a single week and never watched any of the games!!! She picked a winner for 18 consecutive weeks. When I asked her about her strategy? She answered that it was all about analyzing statistics and probabilities.

I was curious to look at Don's previous posts and I looked at his predictions going back to only SB 49. Beyond that, there was a lot of non football banter (religion, military, politics). Too many to scroll through to go back to the beginning but the last 11 years or so, the posts generally stick to the SB...
Anyways, interesting numbers for 10 single bet predictions (I've excluded his 4 team teaser in SB51, which he did hit; the famous Pats win down 28-3 at half). The other 10 selections were single plays.
Dogs (SB 52, 55, 56, 58, 59). A perfect 5-0
Faves (SB 49, 50, 53, 54, 57). 3-2.
Of those faves, only one SB selection was more than a FG, Panthers -6 in SB50 (24-10 loss to Denver) . The other faves were 2x -1, -2.5, and a ML.
This is not a criticism or an endorsement. It's spending a few minutes to read both sides of the discussion. Admittedly I've posted at best a 50% success rate on Covers over the years (maybe even less, I don't keep track). 60% is still money making territory...
Whatever you decide to do is great with me. My point is if the pick is incorrect, you don't have a right to criticize or complain because you made a choice. This site is about like minded folks sharing information. Read everything guys, the good, bad, and the ugly.

If you can't figure out your question, I would just fade. Then ask myself, what in the hell am I doing in here!![]()

@don juan
Regarding your post #63 short story about your Daughter
Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good
I was in vegas just this past week and I have not watched hockey in years and I noticed two teams while in the sports book playing on the sport of kings when I seen two small dogs in hockey in which I have never ever heard of in the Utah Mammoth and some team named Kraken which I believe was told they were formerly the Coyotes.
Anyway I said you know what I am going to parly these two small plus money dogs that I have never heard of for fifty dollars and wouldn't you know it....bang winner!
Point being and sometimes true which in this case no doubt was pure luck and the old saying became oh so true after I collected my close to two fifty win and that's sometimes it is indeed better to be lucky than good. ![]()
