 The average tike it takes for a quick shot at the endzone from 30 yards out is about 7 seconds...just saying...

 

Funny that I've seen many coaches in 40 years of watching football go for the TD first...I've rarely seen the FG first...

 Yes those are your choices. A 50+ fg or a td pass from 30 yards out.  Not sure on the probability, I think  a 50+ fg attempt is a higher probability of being made than a 30+ yard TD attempt.
