Does anyone know what the knock was on him coming out of college? Why was he passed on by every team in every round??? Yes, he has a great team around him, but yes, he seems to be a damn good quarterback. His knowledge of football seems to be off the charts. I mean, seriously, are general managers blind about drafting?? Are NFL coaches this ignorant?!?! Not one NFL coach wanted this dude! Again, yes, he has a great team behind him, but he also seems to be pretty good. Does anyone know why every team passed on him in every round?

I would guess with no research, its like analytics. Meaning they have measurables (height / weight / arm length / hand size / speed / arm strength) that if not met it's a pass. I think that those that get passed on have to work their way in and hit when they get their shot. Antiquated and I do not fully agree but that is my guess.

That pass to the fullback a few plays ago, you can't coach that, that's talent. And not one general manager or one NFL head coach didn't see anything in Purdy in college. Are general managers and NFL head coaches this ignorant? Because it look like they are. Really, they wanted Sam Howell. What was the knock on him coming out of college???

yes, and analytics makes general managers and head coaches look ignorant. Because there's one thing you can't measure in someone. Their heart! You can't measure someone's heart. But think about it? Every general manager and head coach passed on this guy in every round. Not one coach saw one thing in him to draft him. Like I've always said, NFL head coaches aren't very bright. None of them are.

I would like to see the evaluation on Purdy. I guess it's on the internet somewhere. Mike Brady's evaluation at the combine. Again, I know Purdy has a great team around him, but he seems to be a damn good quarterback. And good for him!

He’s small, doesn’t have great arm talent and isn’t a great athlete. He clearly has intellect and sees the field well. He also does a good job on anticipatory throws but doesn’t have the eye popping measurables that would have made anybody think he’d make a good pro. Was also pretty inconsistent in college at Iowa state.
