One of the things I have talked about a lot on here is about how much more quarterback-centric the NFL is nowadays.
I think a very crucial thing to understanding how game-plans match up is understanding the quarterback play.
The NFL is very much driven by offense now.You see this with rule changes and the development of offensive schemes. This is very evident on how soon teams are forced to develop quarterbacks they draft because they expect them to play right away as opposed to in years past when they had time to sit those quarterbacks on the bench to learn the NFL offense.
Whether I agree with all of the changes or not I understand why they have made them. They want more offense and scoring because that is what more fans enjoy.
I realize that some folks just want to watch the games as a casual fan and bet as a casual fan.
However, I think it really helps folks that are serious about betting on games to understand how to examine how teams match up against each other.I think one of the best ways to do this is to be able to utilize advanced metrics from each team to be able to see how they likely will fare against each other.
Therefore, I think it is very crucial to understanding quarterback play because it is the most important aspect of examining a matchup.
Certainly, all parts of the teams matter, both on offense, defense and special teams. But I think you can get a better understanding of what to expect if you are able to understand the crucial dynamics of the quarterback play and the matchup of the opposing team’s defense.

If folks have the interest and/or the time these are good watches.
If anyone has the ability to watch the coach’s tape from games each week they can do this for themselves.
You can go back and watch certain games and pinpoint where mistakes were made and where good plays were made.
I think doing this each week is very helpful and gives a much different insight than simply watching the game in realtime and assuming you got everything you needed from it.
Of course, I get that this sort of thing is not for everyone.
Some folks are just fans and want some action on a game they will watch or their favorite team.I get that and that is fine.
I just thought it would be interesting for the folks that might like it.

I think I mentioned this before last week about the breakdown on Shadeur Sanders’ play from the first week done by Chase Daniel.
He has now done a breakdown of Sanders’ play from this past week.
I think they are excellent breakdowns and he does it in a very precise way that even the most casual fan can understand and appreciate.
