One of the greatest defensive minds in the history of the NFL and perhaps the greatest head coach of all time.

Probably not. He is only 14 or 15 wins away from breaking Shula's all time coaching record. 2 more years....

Belichick is 71 now and though the fire burns within him to coach again, I wonder if a franchise is willing to give him the kind of control that he longs for? No doubt he will want to give one of his sons a coordinator job and he might make other demands that a GM and owner might not be comfortable with.
Pure speculation but with these +70 guys either fired or retiring, I think the football world will turn the page on them. The old sayings 'Youth will be served' and 'Nobody wants you when you're old and gray' seem apt here IMO.

Agreed that 70 is pretty old & time for the younger guys to step up. I'm 64 next week & no way I have the same energy that I had in my 40's or even my 50's. The record would be nice but not worth risking health issues. He has a pile of cash to relax & enjoy the rest of his years with his family.

I remember in a playoff game about a hundred years ago at Soldier field, in a raging wind, when Giants' punter Sean Lendetta whiffed on a punt because of the strong wind.
Harvin drops that ball from hand to kicking foot from a bit higher than normally done by other punters so he seems susceptible to that happening on Sunday.
Of course he will have at least one or two bad shanks. Tomlin is aware of this critical weakness but does nothing.
I can see this happening to Harvin on Sunday:
