Patriots are the best in the business. They are hands down the hardest working team in the nfl. If you think they’re lucky, then it’s because they worked for and earned that luck

I think there's definitely been some luck. No matter how good you are, you don't win this much w/out a little luck but it's also hard work and having a really good coach and a really good QB together for two decades. It's been drafting guys that fit a system, offensively and defensively. High character guys that play hard. And finally, maybe a little help from the league/refs. Look, i'm from Oakland. I can't act like the snow job didn't happen but even then, Adam V still had to nail a FG in the snow. Maybe if he doesn't, the Raiders aren't moving.

Patriots beat the rams straight up man for man, 13-3 final indicates that. More dominant in every part of the game. Credit the coaches for teaching the fundamentals to the players to get them ready to play and beat the guys in front of them. Throughout the year in every televised patriots game I watched I kept on hearing from the announcers preach about the great technique this defense had. The Patriots are good, the rest of the league is just trash. Pats lose out on dion lewis, Sony Michel has an incredible year and playoffs as a rookie. No longer have Nate solder, no problem, Brady gets sacked just once in the playoffs. No more Malcolm Butler, shut down fastest guy in the nfl no problem. Lol

Is this some kind of joke? 13 AFC Championship games in 19 years and 8 in a row? In an era where parity is the objective at every turn. Draft no better than 28th each year, usually 30th. When the Pats schedule comes out, it comes with a bye and divisional playoff & Championship game listed as TBA.

I agree they are lucky but they don't beat themselves. Have you ever seen them have a penalty where a D-linemen is a foot offsides? Do they ever have a Bell or Brown situation on their hands EVER? They draft Edelman at 232nd and the GOAT at 199th... Smart, team guys, certainly there are exceptions but they seem to disappear quickly, they don't depend on a Bell or Brown BECAUSE THEY'RE SELFISH AND UNDEPENDABLE.

It's insulting and I agree with NN and I'll be nice dumb... I bet against them in the 2 playoff games but after taking down Rivers in what looked like "his year" and then the MVP of the league, how can you bet the Rams when they stole that ticket into the SB... If NE was -3 from the beginning, I go big on them, but the line look like the fix was in again for the RAMS. Talk about luck, 2 refs went blind to keep them in that game. There's never been anything like that while I've been watching football, 50 years now.

No doubt the Patriots are very fortunate and the other team seems to constantly help them (D Ford & Carroll pass on the 1 yard line), but you can't blame the Patriots for that.

First, OP, this is a GREAT post SB thread..and I agree with many of your initial points..

Killer, I used your Qoute because it BEST describes NE situation. I have many many points to add but for now..I just want to say The 90's Cowboys and those 49er teams would absolutely dominate and destroy any of these PATS squads except for the one with Randy Moss..Will be back to chime in much more later..Have at it Cova's brothers....

One last tidbit.....think of all HOF QB's that REALLY are much better than TB..he was VERY VERY lucky to be teamed with Belicheat and their CHEMISTRY with their WORK effort are  MAIN Reasons they've had so much success (along with playing in AFC East)..

I disagree, in the long run you get exactly what you deserve.

Remember when Patrick Chung got his arm broken? You could actually hear it. Romo said that was significant, I was a little concerned but they plug someone else in and he wasn't even missed, quite unbelievable, even his backup can come in and not miss a beat.

What was with the sideline play where the 2 refs were discussing the play and the Rams snapped the ball. That wasn't a catch, how's the ball get in play before the discussion is over? It was ridiculous, he only got one foot down with possession.

Agree with page 2 of this thread wholeheartedly... Just like we get the government we deserve, in the long run, things usually work out the way there supposed to.

Who do you think they play in the AFC Championship Game in '19? That's about the only question that matters.

A win is a win. It’s the mistake free get the job done and leave with the W attitude that makes the patriots the greatest organization in the nfl. We know who the goats are. Bill is the goat of coaches. Brady the goat of qbs. And the owner is the goat of owners for letting it happen and staying out the way and doing his part on the business side. And that season u mentioned is because they had the goat of wrs in moss. That’s just this cowboys fan opion. They should’ve won that ship. They was the better team.

seeing some thread on Saints futures

vrery poor defense i mean pathetic

score 541 points gave up over 400 lmfao

    Chiefs also and The rams

but yet one troll in my thread said that the they went 3-4 this year

I cannot figure this dude out

they were the only 3 teams to score 500 + points and went 0-3 s/u and ats

    1 dog two favorites

Here you go you incessant child, unable to understand simple things:

3 teams scored 500+ points this season.  KC, LA Rams and Saints

    1/12/19
    KC -4.5 vs Indy -- Won 31-13
    1/12/19
LA Rams -7 vs Dallas - Won 30-22
    1/13/19
    Saints -8.5 vs Philly - Won 20-14

So that's 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS (still following along?)

    1/20/19
LA Rams +3 vs Saints - Won 26-23
    Saints -3 vs Rams - Lost 23-26

    1/20/19
    KC -3 vs Pats - Lost 31-37

That's 1-2 SU and 1-2 ATS (the Rams-Saints game washed), so total is 4-2 SU and 3-3 ATS.

    2/3/19
    LA Rams +2 - Lost 3-13

So the final tally for teams scoring 500+ points in the playoffs is

    4-3 SU and 3-4 ATS

I explained this to my dog and he understood the first time.  Why can't you?

I do agree. I think the patriots have always have “what looks like” a mediocre team and they end up winning 77 superbowls in 80 seasons. Haven’t had a great back in the running game in quite a while .... I mean who ? Ridley Blount white Lewis Michel ? Lol

But give them props all they need is Brady and bellicheck

Im 100% a Tiatans fan. But its simple and clear the patriots with brady and bellicheck. Best ever in fooball.

Tom brady wins games even when players are hurt. When they dont have top players like other teams. They get it done no matter what. They win.

Does not matter how they win games. Or how convincing they win superbowls. Thats absolute idiotic point to make. THEY WIN. The ways they win. Come back and win. Last minute drives. No other team or quarterback can control and consistantly do this other than brady.

This is team sport. And they find ways together to beat and unmatch every team they play. Wether better run game, pass game, defense.

Does not matter they find ways to make up in those areas to win, out play and out smart the opposing team.

Personally as a true fan to another team. I will honestly say anyone who does not believe they are best. Is just in denial. Enjoy the game. Enjoy being a sports fan and seeing success and great new things in sports. And i respect what they done as franchise and a team.

Plus one of the most respectful things ive seen in sports. Is the fact brady could take higest paid QB years ago.

He chose to take pay cuts to allow other players and teamates get paod. To allow franchise to have more money to get other players.

If thats not a team player and devoted to a franchise at its fullest. Then i dont know what to say. Cause we need more players like him in NFL.

OP is absolutely DEAD ON here...

if it weren't for an ALERT snow plow driver who cleared a NE field spot for that kicker or an infamous "tuck rule" call that did go in NE's favor..this COULD Never have been any dynasty?????

Look at all things that went Pat's favor????

ATLANTA up 28-3...absolutely WORST 2nd Half coaching job of ALL-TIME EVER in Super Bowl History???? 28-3

WORST..stupid SEAHAWKS Coach guru Pete Carroll not HANDING Ball off for an easy RUSH TD to Beastmode himself????Absoklutely WORST EVER play call ever in SB history!!!!!!!!!!!!

Facts are is TOM BRADY is not the GOAT and he knows it...he is VERY VERY overated and he WOULD AGREE.. just listen to his interviews...BRADSHAW, MONTANA, AIKMEN, ELWAY,  they are ALL better than a 6th round PICK who was very fortunate Bledsoe went  in that PITT playoff game...sadly, I bet Bledsoe over his COMP Total in that Game....13'...
