Mavs should have a distinct bench advantage tonight. This young Wizards team will have more of a New Year's hangover than the veteran Mavericks. Wiz also are coming off a big comeback win and sweep of home and home series with Detroit. Let down spot.

Both teams are on a back-to-back. Pelicans tried to make a statement in Miami, hung with the Heat for awhile and eventually fell short. This is a let down spot for them. Containing Anthony Davis is very important for the Wiz, and he is a tough match up for anyone. Pelicans have lost Ryan Anderson to injury and he is a huge part of their offense. They struggle to stretch the floor without him. Wizards snapped out of their mini-slump last night in Charlotte and will be looking to get a winning streak started with a winnable game in New Orleans.I think the Wiz win straight up, but I'll take the 3.5 points as insurance.

The Wiz are coming into this game with confidence and health. It won't matter tonight, however, because they are walking into a buzzsaw. The Pacers are pissed, coming off a straight up loss in Atlanta, a game in which the Hawks started with a 12-0 lead. They are eager to get back to business. Most importantly, Lance Stephenson is returning from injury tonight, and he has been their offensive x-factor all year long.
The Wizards will struggle to score tonight. Due to the Pacers defensive prowess and Hibbert anchoring the middle, Beal and Wall will be relegated to taking long 2-pointers, which is something they both do way too much. The last time these 2 teams played, the Wizards put on a jumpshot-missing clinic. I am expecting more of the same tonight. The Pacers win by double digits.

Wiz back home tomorrow to face the Rockets. Both B2B, both coming off losses- one a little more harsh than the other.
This should be a fun game to cap!
I see a high scoring game at first glance. Wiz probably looking to be a small home dog. We'll see what's in store. Look forward to your input too. Definitely worth considering...

No play in today's Wizards game. The Wizards tend to play up to the level of their opponent, especially at home, and the Rockets are without two key pieces in Beverley and Parsons (who is questionable).
Both teams are coming off bad road losses yesterday and will look to get back on track. The Wizards have struggled against the league's elite teams this season, but my numbers don't have the Rockets in that category. This game will be close, and will likely come down to the last few possessions. I capped it at Rockets -1. No play.

The Bulls are coming in "hot," having won their last 5 games. The Wizards are "cold," having lost two in a row. That's the perception, but not the reality.
The Bulls have beaten mostly bad teams during their streak, with the only respectable win coming as two-point dogs at home to Phoenix, while the Wizards have lost their last two games Houston and Indiana.
The Wizards match up well with Chicago. At full strength, they will be able to score much more easily than the Bulls. The Bulls are a solid defensive team, but Wall should have a distinct advantage at the PG position on both ends of the court. The Wizards played an inspired game vs Houston, including a 19-0 4th quarter run to take the lead. They eventually lost, but I believe they will build off that momentum tonight. They have been road warriors recently, covering 7 of their last 9 road games. With two tough games behind them and the Heat on deck, they will bring a full effort tonight in a winnable game, knowing that wins have been tough to come by. I think the Wizards will win, but I'll take the 2.5 as insurance.

I liked the Wiz before and then I saw your post and I like it even more.
Wiz have been playing with urgency on the road but not at home. There was a shouting match last game between nene and ariza, whitman called their team performance aau like. I like all of these things. It tells me that Wash will come to play tonight.

i like the bulls cause of their intensity and coach. but your point about wizards playing inspired in the second half with houston and it may carryover is a good one. good luck.
